AU bank cards mobile wallet support

hi guys,

I need an AU LIT addon card for my father, but AU has this strange rule for having a relationship with the bank for the addon card holder. So, I thought of one more option. I can add the card to the samsung pay wallet or Gpay wallet and use that for paying while my father can use the physical card. But, both of the wallets says your bank doesnt support this. Is there any wallet that supports AU bank credit card? Any other option for me?

Whoa! Really that's a NICE surprise! CRED actually support AU Bank card for Tap to Pay!? Which other banks it supports? I am particularly interested if there are any which Google Pay does not support for tap

Cred also gives Rs 25 cashback each on 1st two AU bank tap n pay transactions.

Mostly all Visa/ Mastercard cards which support card tokenization.

Google pay supports HSBC. I use it actively.

Found the answer at CRED's website. The following banks supported for tap to pay as of now:


CRED supports ICICI Bank, SBI Card, Axis, IndusInd and AU Bank

GPay supports: ICICI, SBI Card, Axis, IndusInd, HDFC Bank, RBL, Kotak, BOB, OneCard, Federal & HSBC for tap to pay (but not AU)

CRED supports ICICI Bank, SBI Card, Axis, IndusInd and AU Bank

GPay supports: ICICI, SBI Card, Axis, IndusInd, HDFC Bank, RBL, Kotak, BOB, OneCard, Federal & HSBC for tap to pay (but not AU)

Reinstall gpay app ?

Infact even my hsbc add-ons could be added to family memeber's gpay. It definitely works.

Also, will these payments using gpay app work without the card if the transaction is worth more than 5k? Do we definitely need the physical card if the transaction value is more than 5k?

Each bank/card has their own NFC/contactless/tap to pay limit. If the card supports more than 5K for contactless, it will work.

Actually many support. Are you referring to debit card or credit card? Just check that card's contactless settings

Credit card. After adding the credit card in this case the au credit card to cred, can we pay more than 5k?

It is a limitation set by RBI. Earlier it was 2k but had been enhanced to 5k few years back.

Yeah, my question is can we do transaction above 5k which require pin using samsung wallet or some other 3rd party apps using nfc option? Let's take an example as AU lit credit card using cred application. I'm asking this because I'm trying to use this option to avoid going for an addon card for my father given their wierd requirement of having relationship with bank for the addon card holder.

So, I want to understand if i can make 8k payment with my phone nice as my card will be with my father

Upto 5k, it's PINlees txn, no pin required.

So you can still tap to pay above 5k. But just need to enter PIN, right?
