AU bank cards mobile wallet support

hi guys,

I need an AU LIT addon card for my father, but AU has this strange rule for having a relationship with the bank for the addon card holder. So, I thought of one more option. I can add the card to the samsung pay wallet or Gpay wallet and use that for paying while my father can use the physical card. But, both of the wallets says your bank doesnt support this. Is there any wallet that supports AU bank credit card? Any other option for me?

Let's take an example as AU lit credit card using cred application. I'm asking this because I'm trying to use this option to avoid going for an addon card for my father given their wierd requirement of having relationship with bank for the addon card holder.

I have neither relationship with AU nor with Cred.

AU cards can only be added on Cred. It's not eligible to get added on G-pay & S-Wallet.

So, I can not guarantee. You can try, AU is young & innovative small finance bank, it should go through, I guess.

Bro, it's very much possible. I have already mentioned but subject to bank policy.

I told the answer already 😇 but you are asking same question again. CHECK IN AU BANK CARD settings (not CRED settings) if txn amount above 5K is allowed for contactless channel. If yes, then it means bank/card allows and it is likely to work. If it doesn't allow setting value above 5K, then it means for this particular bank it's not possible. The amount allowed is decided by bank/card, not by CRED or GPay so CHECK IN THAT RESPECTIVE CARD's settings. It varies from bank to bank

The amount allowed is decided by bank/card, not by CRED or GPay so CHECK IN THAT RESPECTIVE CARD's settings. It varies from bank to bank

I just checked for Axis. It shows my full limit.

So I guess Axis supports above 5k.

Partially true.

Some banks limit to 5k/ txn, that doesn't mean more than 5k is not possible. They meant only pin less txn is possible upto 5k, like SBI does. Yeah, thier disclosure is not transparent/ definite.

So, it all depends upon the bank.

Yeah, this is exactly what I'm trying to convey. If I check the transaction limit, it only shows 5k for these banks under contactless payments. But they meant without pin actually. I want to understand where can I check if the bank allows payments more than 5k but with the pin

Modify the limit as per your wish.

This is what the response is got from hsbc customer care.

We do understand you are unable to add the card on GPay, but as we have checked from our end, there is no issue with your card. GPay is a third-party application; hence we won't be able to check from our end what the exact issue is to help you with the appropriate solution. Hence, we request you kindly check with Google Pay customer service for further assistance.

Do note the risk involved though in big amount contactless txn. If your dad's phone gets stolen, and if the bank doesn't require PIN for the contactless txn, the thief can just tap to pay big amounts.
