I called customer care and they said it's will not have any negative impact on cibil and they said you credit history and relationship with bank is very clean.
It's only because bank internal lending policy

I feel this is due to Bank policy change to became Universal bank and also RBI warning to SFB's for too much leverage.

yes, Most of the banks now started decreasing the limits of their cc holders
I faced the similar issue with Axis Bank they reduced my limit from 3.6L to 94k

First bank offering huge limit to their customers, after RBI directive these incidents start from last year firstly by Scapia and later followed by RBL and other banks..

Just had word with the Ccare Exe and he told me that on the basis of usage the limit got decreased..well from past 4-5 months I was using Xcite ultra for approx 20-25K per month. Not satisfied with his answer but this is the reason behind sudden limit decrease. W E I R D
