Avoid Flipkart during sale period

Before purchasing any item from Flipkart, do check the Total Amount on the payment final page. Yesterday, I was demo checking it's page for a mobile phone. Surprisingly I found Flipkart is not only charging Secure Box delivery (Promise Fee) but also they are adding another fees like Payment Handling Charges & Offer Processing Charges which is increasing the product price by 5-10%.



On the final page it's increased to:



This is nothing but the loot. There are multiple other shopping portals are present in the market who are not charging similarly. It's better to opt for those sites. Like, Realme/Moto phones are also available on the company websites too. Otherwise, VijaySales/Croma/RelianceDigital many other websites are almost selling on similar bracket. Don't fall in the trap of lucrative offers, just evaluate other websites & finalize your purchase.

I know, there are a few people still rush to book one Iphone from Flipkart but it's becoming the high time to ignore this shit website gradually & learn them a lesson.

The sale season will start from 22nd, I don't think, such crappy sites will pass on the full GST benefits to the consumer.

Yesterday I added Pixel Fold (don't for purchase, just for checking), they added almost 1000 extra as charges where as bank discount is 2000. What is the benefit here?

Seriously, even I used to purchase groceries. They are even charging higher than Blinkit. Whatever, so called offer got engulfed with bakwas fees.

One suggestion to everyone, if you are planning for purchasing laptop, go with Amazon/Croma etc or you can search in your local too. Sometimes offer is same or lesser than FK quoted price.

For Mobiles, try to shop from Company websites only.
Like Samsung from Samsung, Oneplus for Oneplus, Motorola for Motorola. Samsung & Oneplus both are giving corporate discounts over & above the FK quoted price.

Else, shop from other Ecomm like Vijay Sales/Croma etc. like Pixel 9A may come at 43K. Already it's available on Croma with the similar price but lesser fees.

Rest others, there are many other alternatives.

Let's start teach the lesson to this crappy website - Flipkart.

Yes, I have had similar experience with Croma and specifically Vijay Sales (they have a lot more competitive prices)

I never buy above 10k products from flipkart. I go with Amazon even though I have couple of bad experiences with them too , still better than dealing with flipkart.

Will pay little more on amazon or offline , but will not go with flipkart for higher amount purchase.

I have been shopping on the BBD sale for almost 8 years now. Only once I received a wrong product that too was refunded without any fuss.
I too hate these fees but Nowadays I am buying FK vouchers from Smartbuy and avoid any fees apart from the protect fees.

Seems like SmartBuy voucher will not provide you enough benefits on certain products like Mobiles etc.

'Minutes' don't work at my place from 12midnight - 6am. What i was trying to say is these chillar fees don't matter much(to me) when you are getting discounts in thousands. I ordered a TV yesterday, got 2k axis discount but FK charged:

1. Offer Handling Fee - ₹99.
2. Payment Handling Fee - ₹54.
3. Protect Promise Fee - ₹129.

Total ₹281 additional fees but I didn't mind because the price was still the best available in the market.

Whenever I buy a product, I check the prices on all the available websites like Amazon/FK/Croma/VijaySales/etc. and buy the product wherever I get the best price.

On another note, Amazon also apply Offer Processing Fee of ₹99 now a days. Everyone will eventually follow this.

That's the point @tuhin is raising, almost 5-10% of discount is being eaten by charges.. ☝️
And that's not a good sign or fair practice...
