Avoid Flipkart during sale period

I use Flipshope to check if prices are good or not, but my antivirus says their extension is a Trojan or something, don’t know why. So now a days, I use the website without installing the extension.

So, I was peacefully shopping for groceries on Flipkart when I spotted this little masterpiece of math.

I wanted to buy 4 packs of cumin powder (50g each).
Price per pack? ₹39.
Basic math says 39 × 4 = ₹156.
Flipkart math says 39 × 4 = ₹159.

Apparently, Flipkart has invented new mathematics where 39 magically turns into 39.75 when you buy more. Same math applied to my five packets of sattu. Genius.

And of course, there’s the ₹12 “platform fee” a cheery on the top.

Moral of the story: when you order groceries in bulk, they quietly squeeze a few extra rupees from you — knowing most people won’t bother checking the calculation for each item.

From now on, I’m keeping a calculator handy every time I shop. Because clearly, these e-commerce sites are running Math 2.0: Loot Edition.

Sabke sab chor hai.

For me Laptop was 11K cheaper during Bijli Billi Deals than Great Indian Feline festival.
Someday I'll tell you people a story of how I got my CTO Macbook Air M2 16GB | 1 TB retailed at 1,82,900 at that time for just 1,20,000 back in 2022. Build quality = like new. won't even find any difference. Don't mistake me for an apple fanboy, I hate my iphone 15 battery. But the macbook has served me well.

I GOT THE DEAL OFFLINE THO. NOT FROM CHORBAZAR. Apple official reseller.

Flipkart is on the way in becoming another Zepto and let’s hope Amazon avoids these cheap tactics of adding more marketing fees to online orders.

Not defending Flipkart here, but this is a general practice in most grocery platforms to prevent misuse by local stores that can purchase this at a discount and sell at higher prices locally. They usually have 1 price for 1-2 quantities and then a higher price for additional quantities.
