Axis Airtel CC messed cashback by changing statement date on its own.

Hi All..

This is to highlight fraud done by Axis in posting cashback on the Axis Airtel credit card
My Statement generation date is 12th of every month.
For the Airtel Broadband payment of 942.82 done on 11th October the same was not posted in October month Statement but posted in November statement.
But the transaction done on 11th November got posted in November month's statement itself.
This is some serious fraud being done by them. This lead to 2 transaction being posted is same bill making me loose some 240 Rs cash back.

Using the card for last 6 months.. But saw such fraud for the first time. 🪓Is is really the shitiest bank.. Have heard a lot but saw personally as well..
Was thinking of getting Atlas next month..
But after seeing this kind of fraud will stay miles away from any new products from them.
I'm not bothered by the amount lost here as it's small but this makes me sure they can mess up big time as well..

Update 14th Nov:
They generated statement on 11th in October instead of usual statement date of 12th.. Not sure why..

But coz of this 🪓shit lost the cashback..

Update: 15 November.- changed the post title as members feel it's not a fraud.
Old title: Axis Cards are Fraud.

Happened with me once after that I've decided to do any txn a day after the statement date to be in the safest side.

Not even on statement date coz that could lead to same day settlement....

Request for change in billing cycle of either CC or Airtel Postpaid!!😤😤

Can you try either changing your billing cycle of broadband or the credit card itself since you are only using this card for limited use, this should solve your problem for once and all.

Also in postpaid broadband , can't you pre payment before 10th or something and amount can be adjusted in next bill? I have only used prepaid broadband and keep recharging everymonth so that it's used in my half yearly/annual recharge amount of 4K/8K.

Tbh! This is not their fault. Payment processing delay at vendor's end might be the issue. I agree that axis can be shit but this time, they are not at fault. You'll just receive cashback in the next month. It's fine.

Had they not posted the cashback at all, then the statement would have been valid.

Chill bro. It happens in a lot of other cards as well and it's not their fault. I have seen this with my Amex a lot of times.

I'm all for bashing axis but these things are not done manually especially for day to day transactions. So this was just handled through the process.

Only thing you can do is as others mentioned transact far from crucial statement or month end dates, if you're particular about the reward/cb

If you want it in the same bill, do on 10th itself.
My bill generation date is also 12th and I make big transactions on 11th evening so that it won't appear on next day's bill, it comes only on next month's bill. Basically I get one additional day with the whole amount to repay. Instead of 45 days, I get 46 days. LOL. Use such loopholes strategically.

So if my billing date is 13th.. I should stay away from making any payments on 12 and 13th.. to be on the safer side right?

Why not just delay your broadband payment for 2 days or change the bill generation date to 9 or 10 so that you definitely fall within the period and not on the crucial date? 😐

Never faced such issues is past months so didn't bother to make any changes.. But now will do coz they might do same again..

Bro i think while making transaction their will be Cashback box un applied

before you make transaction (i meant the last step)

ensure you check it will show Cashback applied and it will show how much u will get also

if you don't apply you won't get cashback if you do payment on airtel
