Hello TFCians,

In the past few weeks, I noticed several tweets regarding Axis Bank loopholes, with people using the hashtag #IYKYK (If you know you know). These tweets highlighted certain loopholes related to Axis Bank credit cards. Today, I'll summarize the information and make it public. Please understand that I am not promoting the use of these loopholes. If something goes against the bank's policies, it is important to abide by them. I am not responsible for any losses or problems that may arise. It's worth noting that some individuals are selling these loopholes to make money.

Loophole Related to Axis Reserve: The Axis Reserve card has a welcome benefit where you receive 50,000 bonus EDGE points after activating the card. However, Axis Bank has been crediting 50,000 bonus EDGE points after every card replacement. This means that if you have a Reserve card, you can block and replace your card to activate it and receive 50,000 bonus EDGE points. It's important to mention that Axis Bank reversed lakhs of EDGE points from accounts that used this loophole to accumulate points, but the loophole still seems to be working.

Loophole Related to Axis Magnus: Similar to the Axis Reserve card replacement loophole, you can receive a 10,000 TataCLiQ gift voucher after each card replacement.

Axis Atlas: Again, using the card replacement loophole, you can receive 5,000 bonus EDGE Miles.

EDGE Reward System: Axis Bank has different categories for their credit cards, including HNI Cards, Affluent Cards, and other cards. HNI cards have the highest transfer rate, typically 5:4. Affluent cards have a transfer rate of 10:1, and other cards have a rate of 20:1 (normally). However, if you have an HNI card such as Magnus or Reserve, you can transfer all your EDGE points, including those earned using Affluent and other cards, at the rate of 5:4. This means you can transfer your points at the Magnus or Reserve rate.

Axis Bank Samsung Infinite Credit Card: People are applying for the Axis Samsung Infinite Credit Card to receive 30,000 bonus EDGE points by paying Rs. 5,000 + GST. If they have an Axis Magnus or Reserve card, they can transfer these 30,000 EDGE points at the rate of 5 EDGE miles = 4 airmiles/hotel points (HNI Card rate). Axis Bank has struggled to categorize their EDGE points, as customers currently have only one EDGE points account. It's quite challenging for Axis Bank to address this issue. Additionally, one can get the 5:4 rate for Axis MyZone and IOCL cards' EDGE points if they have one HNI card.

Axis Multibrand Voucher: The Axis Multibrand Voucher is available for Axis Privilege Cardholders only. It offers a redemption rate of 1 EDGE = Rs. 0.40, which is double the value compared to normal point redemption. However, if you have an Axis Magnus then you can redeem your EDGE points for multi-brand voucher, or any other card along with an Axis Privilege Card, you can redeem all your EDGE points for the Multi-brand Voucher.

These are a few of the active loopholes. I am sharing this information because I dislike the #IYKYK culture and related tweets. In my opinion, if you have a trick or loophole to share, just post it without the need for cryptic hashtags.
See, I'm not a saint. I do use loopholes to accumulate reward points, and I enjoy doing so. However, I have never used any illegal loopholes. It is important to understand the associated risks with these practices. I am not encouraging you to use these loopholes; it is your decision. Keep in mind that the bank may reverse all reward points earned through unfair means in the future.

Let me know your opinion by replying to this thread. If you are new here, don't forget to join the TF Community. It's not about learning loopholes, but also about gaining real credit card and personal finance-related information and sharing knowledge.

Trying to decode the 5p miles trick , from what is available outside.

As per my analysis this trick is got to be with either of 3 banks.
It's either axis , hdfc or amex.

As per image leaked and info gathered from few tweets its Axis. If its axis and being mentioned as unlimited miles, not edge rewards. That means its mostly axis atlas card. Now am further going to understand axis atlas , if anybody else is interested in discussion to further explore this do let me know we can chat in a group. I dont have permission to create TF group . But we can have a group to discuss and try decoding by discussing and trying to find it ourselves.

As heard in the unrecorded space, the discord guy told that 5p/mile is not a trick but an option available in travel edge. May be that option could be hidden and a trick may require to uncover it.

exactly we are on same lines then. Why beg around when we can be self smart enough to find it ourselves.

You are TF Ace , if you dont mind please create a group and lets start discussing there.

Well there is a certain line of code which if you plug into a certain web address gives you exactly 6.5 times the amount of points you have in your HDFC account. And it’s still not fixed, been over 8 months.

Some people here are already using that loophole to exponentially multiply their points and you know that Infinia point = 1Rs. so now you can do the math!
Can you share the discord channels? Would love to join!

traveledge isn't too big a site to dig deep.

Lets get started with the hunt
Update 1 :-
Going with Assumption that its TravelEdge.
  1. It cannot be a refund strategy of a booking because it would have been edge rewards equals cash directly, unless its atlas but concept would have been same of both for refund process.
  2. Option that remains on travel edge then is just the transfer portal which i couldn't see anything.
  3. Going by the network logs for reward partners which has an attribute POINTS_VALUE which for some is 0.074ps , i don't know if its seriously 5p trick but if there is this attribute of value and there is no need of axis in reality needing to send as api response because as user its never shown then there could be something to play around this property being used somewhere.
  4. If its 5ps trick then this would mean something on transfer page as axis follows multiples of 100 then its paying Rs.100 to get 2000 miles transferred. So it means it could be something of a switch button to transfer points using cash instead of points.
  5. EDIT :- Adding 5th point 15mins later
It could be a transfer via concierge either call/mail requesting transfer of say X points and if balance isn't unavailable they may transfer the miles based on the point value.

( I know my 4th,5th point could be rubbish , but anything is possible and i am keeping myself open to all options).

Assumption for later analysis : - Still Keeping an open ender that its got to be axis atlas.

I’m a developer as well. maybe I can try and help too.

I do understand that many here may have coding knowledge , there is no denial that its an added benefit. After a lot of consideration i feel its better we discuss our findings publicly on this group.Like i have done here in my previous comments.
To be frank this is not gonna be an easy task , its completely open ended. With very limited clue, info available all around. We have no one to confirm if we are in right direction.I will keep posting updates on possibilities, research around this 5p thing , people are welcome to comment. Go hunt themselves , am. sure someone will definitely crack it. It's then upto him/her to decide what he does at that stage.

I can say one thing for sure that this requires some luck , skills , hard work and dedication. All the best to people trying to find.

There were so many loopholes, and I was not aware of any.

Update 2:-

TravelEdge website is built in two parts.
  • Points/Miles Transfer is built on angular framework
  • The other sections don't seem angular , it looks native js. It could be SSR based angular , I am not sure on this part.
I have debugged all uri possible for points/miles transfer section, will continue with other part of website tomorrow.

Since angular part is separated from booking and doesnt support a payment page, with 5p requiring some payment. The target is ideally narrowed down to these 4sections :- hotels, flights, experiences and mytransactions.

Assumption Considered:- Considered that 5p is needed to be paid for miles to transfer , payment part is on non-angular side.
