Axis Bank Debiting Reward Points for Reversed Transactions of 2023: Year-End Circus 🎪

Hey TFCians,

Axis Bank is back with its year-end circus 🎪!

A notification on the rewards points page of their mobile app states that you need to click a link to check if the bank has debited any reward points for transactions made in 2023. This applies to transactions that were reversed, refunded, or those that shouldn't have earned points in the first place.



I checked my account and found that no reward points have been debited from mine.

As they say, Axis - Open Dil Se...... Now they are opening/digging graves to get back the skeleton to sell it to recover or will put the customer in that grave Dil Se.

Before Year 2010 : Do a scam and keep it secret till death. Think before you do it and remove anything that can backtrack to you.

After that: Do a scam (exploit loophole). Brag about it on social media. Add more people to your scam. Enjoy!

Previous generation always cleaned the footprints while today you can't.

That's why I always ask people to have genuine things and be ready to give back if collected by illegal means. I have make up my mind that if bank someday ask me to give back CC Bill Pay cashbacks, I will happily do it. But they won't as till now no one has legally put it and MCC will be changed rather than customer being harassed.

They just deducted 2400 points for multiple transactions between Sep-Dec 2023. Not against not receiving points for cancelled transactions, but surely there is a time limit till when they can exercise this shit

Due to a technical issue, EDGE REWARD Points corresponding to cancelled / reversed / EMI transactions on your Axis Bank Credit Card during Apr'23-Jan'24 were not reversed. I also received some love from Axis Bank today! They deducted ~3800 reward points for three transactions. After checking, I noticed the refunds, so it seems legit that they reversed the points.

Looks like Axis was too busy with the Citi migration to handle this earlier - probably why they served this delayed gratification.

As long as your CC is active, they will do it.

Received a msg today and they debited 8750 points for some transaction done in period Apr23-Jan24 ..

This is the reason I have no other CC from 🪓 except Airtel axis CC. No reward point headache.
