Axis Bank declined my pre approved credit card application

On 13 September, I applied for Axis Bank Cash Back Credit card application with application id - MLP000xxxxxxx from Axis Bank app under offers > credit card.

But, I got email yesterday that my application is declined.

I am a liberty savings account holder from August 2024 and the pre approved credit card offer showing from December 2024 or maybe around that already but I applied recently due to flipkart big billion days.

My cibil score > 750 and have sbi and hdfc credit cards already.

Please provide your valuable suggestions. Any user is welcomed and thanks in advance.

Bro was it really a pre-approved offer?? How many steps it had while filling the application?? Because pre-approved cards will generate instantly within 2 steps ( select card , confirm details then submit). Yours might be a normal application but it seems like a pre-approved one?

Reference number starting with MLP are for pre approved offers I guess?

Not at all bro. Application starts with MLP also for existing customer application also. Can you just confirm whether you filled a lot of details in that application or just with 2 steps?

2 steps only

MLP is pre existing customer most likely savings. C1 is for new to bank customers.
The card is pre-approved only if there is a tentative credit limit shown along with the card

I applied for horizon 5 days ago, did the VKYC, since then it's radio silence from axis... Is axis this slow or something wrong? Checked the link for tracking just says received the application and it's under review.

Mine took 5 days after which they came for verification.

VKYC doesn't occur for pre-approved cards. You might have submitted a new application.

Yes it's a new application, my only relation with Axis was Axis FK card which I closed a year ago.
