I am not understanding the differences between liberty and prime salary .Both of them have at least 25k salary credit.

In my net banking it shows prime account but the debit card they have given is liberty debit card.
Is there any different debit card for Prime salary account.
Change to liberty account... Else you wont get libery weekend 5% cb offer..... The account and Debit card variant should be same in axis....

I was hoping to go for Axis Priority soon but looks like we must give some more time for the savings account market to settle down and show it's true colors.

Post covid and along with blazing inflation almost all costs are rising, this cannot be an exception. But comparatively IDFC charging 499 for debit card is daylight robbery.

You know, in April 2021 I received an email about the increase in service charges and as I was going through it, I almost immediately realized this will only get worse.

So, before the month's close I called up customer care and told them I have to close my account of 8 years. They did their best to convince me not to do it, and they would waive it off for my account. I asked them if they could give me a written statement citing the same. They didn't really respond to that.
Finally, on the last day of April 2021, I downloaded the savings account closure form online, filled it online itself and downloaded it. Within 2 days I had made sure to dispatch my card, cheque book along with the signed form to my home branch.

On the 7th day, I received a confirmation that my account had been closed.

Axis bank has significantly changed the way they do business especially with individuals. They just don't care. (Sure, this is true for all banks) but the way they kept raising their charges seemed very unreasonable and uncalled for when their competition is still sticking to the old plans with nominal charges.
With their recent acquisition of Citi, god knows how many people will close their accounts as soon as they discover this horror.

Axis is a very complicated bank..... They simply don't care......in 1 month of account opening... I have experienced things... I never have experienced with any other banks...

The axis nearby my place is good though. We have a SBI, Canara and Axis here. SBI is god send anyhow 🤣, Canara runs short of cash at times but they are more human, Axis is our only good goto option here

I just happen to live closely to my home branch. So it wasn't an issue for me. I am not sure on whether the process requires you sending the packet to your home branch only.
