Axis Bank has restricted the Number of Lounges which the card owner could visit within the country. They probably are also doing away with the complimentary PP access to Lounges which otherwise was allowed on some super and ultra premium cards (needs to be clarified). Check out the revised list….

I read that fee charged for lounge access is reversed for magnus PP cards. Is that a bug or feature?

It's not there in the old list as well, maybe still accessible? I'm going next week, can try and confirm. Although, yes PP should work regardless

Its a feature, it was clarified by a mail from the MD's office, there is a thread to that effect

How on earth this is not a devaluation? If this was any bank other than Axis, people would have made meme. Remember SBI Card lounge devaluation or HDFC Tata Neu lounge devaluation?

It is absolutely a devaluation (assuming international departure lounges have been removed. And a terrible one at that since the most premium card is also being affected.

Lets wait for few more days for clarity international lounges but it is certainly a devaluation for entry and some mid level cards

It is a terrible devaluation, even for some premium cards. For cards like Tata Neu, it was still acceptable even though a tough pill to swallow considering it was offered as LTF or FYF card to a lot of people. How on earth will Axis justify this for cards like Axis VI?

This can not be a feature, it is an after thought or a poor solution. If it doesn't get reversed then the customer has to initiate couple of mails to get it reversed, that too if the poor man was observant enough. And what if they turn back and say that the lounge wasn't eligible for the same?

I have been using it since last quite few months , already exhausted guest access on domestic lounges such as Irish house Kolkata & 080 Bangalore , and each time reversal has been automatically processed .
It’s definitely is a product feature and not a bug as Same has been confirmed from MD desk .
Still devaluation can happen anytime , and even domestic lounge access can be removed as this are non spend based benefits so no one can be confident on that

Can you please explain what do you mean by guest access limit? That was only for international lounges, right?

Even entry level cards of some public sector banks now give access to more lounges than some Axis Bank premium cards. 😛

Can you please explain what do you mean by guest access limit? That was only for international lounges, right?

No
Guest access is for both international and domestic lounge . It’s upto 8 guests per year whether you use it on domestic or international .

I agree the biggest devaluation is the 080 lounge removal from BLR T1 terminal !

Not sure why this sudden move by Axis to reduce the number of lounges at this juncture; i thought they would want to step up the game to gain market share, this seems like a cheap shot !

its actually same as before , cant find a lounge which has been excluded

Very good move by axis bank. I am sure more banks will follow the same pattern. International lounge access have become unmanageable because of huge access to credit card/debit card owners. Now priority pass will/should be used at International terminals. Also high demand domestic terminal may be reserved in future for high end cards like infinia metal and amex plat.
