Hello,

After reading lot of threads in last 2 hours on New Magnus! Here i am with my plan to get magnus by paying 12500 Rs Joining Fees + GST. I already have
1. Axis Vistara Signature Credit Card
2. Axis Atlas Credit Card

I am a frequent traveller and getting 8 meet and greet seems lucrative deal for 1 year at least.

I am not looking to renew the Magnus nor i am planning to achieve spend milestone on this card.

Can anyone please confirm if Yatra Gift Voucher can be used for Hotel, Bus Booking ? Or is it restricted to flight booking only?

Put your suggestions in comments.

IMO, if you are not currently holding a burgundy acc or not looking to get one, there's not much value holding the card if you are not a frequent traveler. And as expected, the whole burgundy thing seems to be in the grey as of now.
Also, Axis has lost it with this card. The eligibility is 18L/annum income, whereas the spend-based fee waiver is set at 25L. I wonder which genius even suggested that. 🤔

Yes, frequent travelling so meet and greet looks good.

Income is not issue, as its pre-approved in my case. Spend based milestone is insane. Axis RM approached me many times but I didnt opt for burgundy as i wont be maintaining balance or NRV and it will get downgrade eventually.

Meet and Greet will easily recover your fee, but think about whether you would actually spend money to utilise that benefit. And keep in mind that you will not receive any renewal benefit going forward. But if you travel frequently, 60ER/200(upto 2L) is sweet.

Yes, I wont renew this card. Instead i can just close it and get it in my family members name if needed next year.

Can you please confirm whether the Yatra Voucher is applicable on Hotel Booking or Flight Booking only?

Meet and Greet is a gimmick, based on my experience. If your city has digiyatra enabled, M&G is definitely an overkill. Even without it, I don't think its worth much.

If you do a lot of air time, you'd be better off getting DCB or Infinia and book via smartbuy. Atleast the reward points will be worth your time spent on the card. Also, Infinia's lounge access is much smoother compared to Magnus flip flop on lounge policy.

Yes. But I would prefer to book hotels. In general, the prices on yatra are highly inflated compared to its peers. And they levy unreasonably high convenience fees for flight bookings.

Infinia is indeed king! But, I dont have Infinia / DCB. I am way behind in HDFC Cards. I will be there by next year end to be eligible for DCB / Infinia.

Thanks for your inputs!

Thanks, i am looking to book hotels only. This way i will at least have some valueback for joining fee.

But will you be able to utilize meet and greet to its worth? What I have in this community is meet and greet service is best for international travel.
If you travel a lot (domestic) then why not go for Vistara Infinite, you will get a Gold membership also.

Yes, valid point. I already have Gold membership through Indusind Vistara Explorer Card for this year. Next year i will go for Axis Vistara Infinite Card. As axis allow 4 cards now that wont be an problem.

Sad to say but you are late to the magnus party, it is already over. I don't see a point in getting it now if you can not spend 3-4 + lacs in one month during the year at least once. Yatra vouchers have low value, a 4k hotel costs 6k for example if you use yatra gift voucher. So expect a 25-30% less value of yatra voucher. If you already have atlas, I don't see a value in getting magnus.

Yes party is already over! Still i got u r point, I will calculate the returns from spending 3-4 lac in single month and plan accordingly.

How long does it take for accelerated reward points of travel edge points(60 points/Rs 200) to get credited.

My suggestion , for meet and greet and only , AU Zenith plus is better with 4 per year at half rate .
Magnus meet & greet is losing its charm with last minute cancellations etc
Yatra vouchers is only applicable for one way economy domestic flight ticket.

M&G is not gimic. It's rather based on luck.
It depends on which executive takes you or which company is operating it.

The ones I got in Bangalore were awesome.
Those executives come in suits along with a porter. They could just cut the line for check-in and security for me. I was on Indigo economy domestic ticket.
With this they saved us atleast 1 hour of standing in the queue. Digiyatra wouldn't really help you much in Bangalore.

Whereas in Mumbai T1 it was mere porter service with someone who wore a tshirt written porter on it. No priority check-in or security etc. That was a total waste of service redemption tbh.
