Axis Reserve last month - first statement not generated

So I got the Axis Reserve on 15th June - the first statement statement has not been generated as yet.
I have used the card already - swiped it and used a airport pick up service as well.
Obviously I got the card with the benefits advertised at that time, major one being 5:4 transfer ratio.
Now that that has changed, is there any way that I can ask them to cancel the card, deduct proportionate fees for this approx. 1 month usage ?
Really do not see any point in holding on to this card with the massive devaluation and I feel a bit had having got the card less than a month ago. The agent (recommended on this forum) who helped me, confirmed 2 days ago there is no devaluation and yesterday when I asked him he just said sorry and gave me a number and email address to call/email for my queries.

You can try to do this, since AMEX does this. I got Platinum Charge card 2 months after Platinum Reserve Renewal, once they made the platinum reserve free, they refunded the fee for 10months. So, there shoud be an option? Max what they can say is, since we have given you the welcome benefit, we cannot refund the money. This is what they said to a friend who recently got Magnus and wanted to cancel it

Axis has withdrawn the devaluation, for now.
