Axis Vistara Signature vs SBI Vistara prime

Hi, I'm looking to apply for Vistara card as I have realized im losing too much on these cashback cards and I take decent amount of vistara flights yearly. Upon reading the technofino articles, I settled upon Axis vistara signature card as I'm targeting to achieve for that 1.5L milestone so I can get 2 Premium economy tickets free yearly. My question here is, they recommended to go for SBI Vistara Prime card as they give rewards on fuel also and bunch of other stuff like free Priority pass etc. Currently I do not have any fuel spending at all but in future maybe that will be a possibility. I currently hold Axis Ace Card since last 4 months. So what do you recommend? Is it easier to get Axis one as I already have their card? How much difficult is to apply for SBI Cards as I do not have their credit card but have SBI account (if that helps). Thanks

It is possible. They check what cards can be offered. New card will be given and existing card will be closed.
Well I don't want to close my existing card. I have simplyclick card, got LE 2 times within 9 months of getting the card. Just want another card like BPCL to use in offers and relatively low spend based waiver.

Don't they offer upgrade like axis do, over the call. New cards get issued, existing card also keeps working?

Yeah ... Contact SBI and try

Keep in mind CC people don't have much knowledge so keep trying multiple times until you get positive responses
I have upgrade offer for SimplySave and Prime cards for more than 7-8 months. Daily I get an sms to upgrade to prime card and get Amazon vouchers too with increased credit limit, but when I check through the app, it clearly shows that I need to split limit from the existing card, which I don't want to do. I want either shared limit like axis or totally separate limit.

Do let me know the the best course of action. Thanks.

When I had another card offer in SBIcard app, I decreased my BPCL limit to 10k and kept 1.3L for new simplysave. Then submitted salary slips for increasing the limit of BPCL and they increased it to 2.4L from 10K

And how much gap should be there to get manual limit enhancement from the time you get the second card?

I dont think it had any gap. I submitted after receiving simplysave. But manual limit increase for new card won't work (i think it has a 6 month gap)
Ooh so you transferred most of the limit to new card and got manual enhancement on the older card. Quite cleaver actually 😀

But if they reject the enhancement then I'll be left with a miserable limit. Can I transfer it back to older card afterwards if they refuse enhancement.

Nope. this is only one time thing. It may be possible by calling customer care. Not sure.

I just tested it and it worked. 😀

Yeah limits can be transferred between the cards by calling CC anytime
