Axis bank is still denying airtel axis rupay card. Just confirmed via customer care. They are saying airtel is not sourcing rupay varient cards, it was due to some glitch that few customers were offered that card. Even after the deadline they are still denying a card that was offered to a lot of people few months back.

I guess the thing is they can deny for flip but not at the time of issue & renewal

That's what I did but they denied even after citing RBI circular. They said it's airtel's fault.

Airtel cc is approved today... though I applied for MC variant while applying as rupay variant not visible...
Today I called axis customer care and asked them for rupay variant.. they said as of now only Neo, myzone , iocl has rupay variant conversions...

how about Axis Samsung Visa infinite ? It’s co branded card with VI platform sold as one of its feature. I doubt Axis would have it in MC variant?

Tried applying new RBL IOCL card. No option to chose variant and they are issuing Master card to all. Customer Care said you can't change the variant once issued.
