I deposited Cash in my Acc via Non Home Branch. Amount is kinda high. As i was familiar with BOB’s delayed intimation of credit/debit to the user via sms, i completely ignored it, EOD still no sms or reflecting on “BOB WORLD APP”. So automatically small tension is building up, so i decided to visit the branch Tomorrow with the deposit receipt, but at 9PM after going through Twitter feed i realised tomorrow is Bank Holiday coz of festival, so i thought of
Raising Complaint via BOB’s website, But Complaint portal not working tried 2-3 times. So i called the customer support & the weird part starts

1. Ivr is not accepting my account number(happens every time) so after 3 rejections it directly connected to executive

2. So I explained the issue & he asked registered number for verification Name & DOB, then full Aadhar Number then pin code then email id then mother’s name
So i kinda fed up after the 3rd question but he’s instigating me to answer all the questions
3. Then he calmly said “that particular amount you’re referring is already deposited & showing in your account. but for me its still not reflecting on bob app, but he constantly saying it’s there i can see”. So i opened PhonePe & checked balance & to my surprise it’s showing the updated balance(including the deposit amount)

So because of BOB’s lacklustre App & No Sms intimation i kinda spent overwhelming evening trying to figure out what happened to my money.

Biggest gaslighting by BOB support is: i already answered the “your email id” question for verification, but at the fag end of the call, he again asking me to say the email address to send the statement.

Why public banks especially BOB is like this
 
bhai tumne apni frustration nikalne ke liye post kiya hai kya?
Not just frustration, but also passing the information, in future if same thing happens to someone else, they will understand these things happens with bob, no need to rush branch or call support team, instead check balance via upi. After few months it may seem funny also so I posted it here JUST FOR FUN category

not even with bob, many such things are common with psu banks like :

1. I deposited cash in UCO current account, but amount credited next day!!!
2. Did NEFT via pnb netbanking on working day at around 10AM, neft credited to beneficiary next day evening

So don't panic with psu banks 1-2 din mein settle hojata hai 😛

Waise usually har roj raat mein karta hi rehta hai 😐

Aadhar Number puch ke koi verify karta hai and koi PAN 🤣 lol 🤣

Lekin alternative ways bhi deta hai PAN ke jagh dusre info se verify karne ka🤣 not in BOB

Jab txn OTP se verify kar leta hai toh yaha bhi ussi se kar le ya MOB mein ek tab rakh de jaise NB approved karte hain🤣 pura janma kundli leke verify karne se toh behtar hai

Flag kiya hoga system mein, unusual txn hoga may be because of amount or time, ko pehle apka A/c mein pehle nahi huwa hoga

Iss case mein bas DOB se verify lol 🤣
& Cash Deposit huwa hai ya nahi uske case mein @Saiv se pura kundli maang liya 🤣

Txn amount and time, system flagged 😜

Acha hai, jab txn nahi kar rahe tab soye nahi the na, kya problem then

Think in this way (postive way), what if unauthorised txn hota and call nahi aata toh ussi time toh instant action ya recovery affect hota na that's why 🤭
