I deposited Cash in my Acc via Non Home Branch. Amount is kinda high. As i was familiar with BOB’s delayed intimation of credit/debit to the user via sms, i completely ignored it, EOD still no sms or reflecting on “BOB WORLD APP”. So automatically small tension is building up, so i decided to visit the branch Tomorrow with the deposit receipt, but at 9PM after going through Twitter feed i realised tomorrow is Bank Holiday coz of festival, so i thought of
Raising Complaint via BOB’s website, But Complaint portal not working tried 2-3 times. So i called the customer support & the weird part starts
1. Ivr is not accepting my account number(happens every time) so after 3 rejections it directly connected to executive
2. So I explained the issue & he asked registered number for verification Name & DOB, then full Aadhar Number then pin code then email id then mother’s name
So i kinda fed up after the 3rd question but he’s instigating me to answer all the questions
3. Then he calmly said “that particular amount you’re referring is already deposited & showing in your account. but for me its still not reflecting on bob app, but he constantly saying it’s there i can see”. So i opened PhonePe & checked balance & to my surprise it’s showing the updated balance(including the deposit amount)
So because of BOB’s lacklustre App & No Sms intimation i kinda spent overwhelming evening trying to figure out what happened to my money.
Biggest gaslighting by BOB support is: i already answered the “your email id” question for verification, but at the fag end of the call, he again asking me to say the email address to send the statement.
