Bank of Maharashtra || Rupay select debit card || REVIEW

This is just for information for people who hold Rupay Select Debit card (i am holding Bank Of Mahashtra- RSDC). When i sent a query to Rupay team regarding the benefits update frequency / renewal of benefits -every year or quaterly, i received following response.

"Please note for the Bank of Maharashtra Rupay Select Card starting with first 6 digits as 6524** the benefit frequency details are based on calendar year and can be redeemed once service out of each category and the details are as follows:

OTT ( Amazon Prime/ Zee5/ Sonyliv): Yearly once
Cab (Ola/ Uber): Quarterly
Healthcare (SRL/Thyrocare): Quarterly
Spa (For Fountains/ HR Wellness/ Kairali/ Aromathai/ O2 Spa/ Lakme): Quarterly
Fitness ( Cult.fit 1 Month/ Cult.fit 3 Months): Quarterly
Golf Round: Quarterly
Golf Lesson: Quarterly "


Previously i thought all benefits were updated yearly only, but now i can use the coupons extensively.
Bank of Maharashtra offered RSDC for free by opening a min bal 25k account.
i hope its useful for all members.
 
Hello folks, I have opened BSS-25 on 15th March 2025. After multiple follow-ups with branch nodal officer, I received Chq book on 4th April. But RSDC has not been applied till date. On 5th April I have emailed to cmcustomerservice@mahabank.co.in ; agmcustomerservice@mahabank.co.in ; hocomplaints@mahabank.co.in separately expressing my grievance. I haven't received any response yet, not sure if I will get any response because someone in this thread mentioned that even after mailing to HO, he haven't received any response.
Please suggest what best can be done to escalate further. They have successfully wasted my Q1 Rupay benefits.

Bro..Bro....... You have to slow down..... You have send an email only on yesterday (Saturday), today is Sunday, what you expect from PSU bank work for you only even on Sunday. Even private bank took 2-3 working days to response. I don't see point here blaming blanks all the time. I understand most of the time they are ignorant towards customer, but in your case I don't see any thing like that so far.

Regards you point related to "successfully wasted my Q1 Rupay benefits" sounds privileged. To complain about wastage of your benefits is completely baseless. You have just processed account 15 days back and you expect everything at your door steps immediately. If you are so worried about benefits you should have started this process from January itself.

Above is just a friendly advise, please don't take it otherwise. I am not advocating behalf of bank, but at the same we have to be rational and logical about our demand here, keeping in mind that we are dealing with PSU bank not any private banks.

Actually bank of maharashtra has some problem within their system. You have to apply for the dc by visiting the branch. I have a friend he opened account in jan but he hasn't got the dc till now as he was not able to visit branch since the distance is 50km from his home. Soo he decided to raise complain to get his dc now it's been 2.5 months he hasn't got the dc till now. Few days earlier the employee punched the dc request in their system after receiving complain from rbi they did stood their ground since 2 months as if they were right and customer has to visit the branch to apply for the dc but the online account opening clause itself says dc will be delivered without visiting branch . So yeah think twice about opening account online if you cannot visit the branch to apply for rupay select dc

Agreed, I rarely opt for virtual/online stuff for PSUs. Physical is best, at least you see things by yourself. Good that your friend finally getting it.

Thanks bro for your advice. I know I have mailed them just 1 day back and I'm not in hurry to get response. I just wanted to know that what can be done to escalate further if I don't get any response because someone already posted that he didn't got reply even after mailing HO. So, it's better to know the escalation matrix in advance so that escalations can be done easily.
And coming to your theory of delay in processing PSU Banks deliverables, for your knowledge I have opened Union Bank a/c on same day itself after opening BoM a/c and all the deliverables reached me within a week. Yes you read it right, chq book & RSDC reached me within a week without any trouble. So, all banks are not same.

Hey, I opened BSS-25 in their branch offline. DC form was bundled with a/c opening form & has been fillled on the same day itself. So, ultimately it looks like whether you open it offline or online, you have to take the trouble in BoM.
