I think it depends on branch and employee also. For me they told to give a letter for upgrade but completed the conversion without giving any letter. But they did take an application for debit card in which I wrote the debit card name

That I know, but they don't check email. I tried one time, no response from them. Then had to visit the branch, and it was done within 2 mins.

I don't know whether it works with email. It might if you know someone at branch
