Note: Mostly other cards from same bank works with varied reward rate and similar rule of exclusion.

Tip: IDFC, IndusInd, BOB provides better rewards using payzapp like prepaid card load (MCC: wallet) which you can use to pay NPS compared to direct payment where you'll get from 0.25% to 0.8% only on these cards.

For NPS payments MCC: 9399 (Govt. Services)

Do check both payment gateways Razorpay and Billdesk (above values are according to Billdesk gateway).

Also, do share missing cards rewards that you tried, will update accordingly.

PG Charges (with GST) on NPS website/app:
  • VISA, Mastercard & AMEX = 0.885% (0.75% + GST)
Note: Above are for TIER 1. TIER 2 disabled credit card payments (based on latest available options).

If in doubt, always try test transaction and confirm with support. Things may chage any time, proceed with caution.

IMP ADVICE - With new tax regime NPS wont get tax benefits. Till your NPS balance is less than 2.5 lacs you can get back lumpsum after 5 years. So be careful of breaching the 2.5 lac limit or u will be stuck till retirement
Would you please share more details about withdrawal? Any article with calculations would help.

Which card should i use for NPS payment from Infinia, DCB, Magnus, Axis Vistara Infinite, AU Zenith, IDFC Wealth (or suggest any other better card).

From above posts, it seems HDFC is not giving RPs, and after recent change, not sure about axis either.

I have never done any credit card payment before with surcharge. So I need some help to understand how will be the calculation for paying 50k voluntary contribution to NPS tier1.

If I used SBI Cashback for 50k payment then
0.75% surcharge mean 375/-
on this 375/- there will be 18% gst so it will be 67.50/-
so total I will be charged 50000+375+67.50 => 50442.50
Against this amount I will get 1% of 50k => 500 as cashback
so net gain will be 57.50/- right?

I think 1% cashback would be on total amount
