Best Credit Card Usage Strategy Across Spending Categories

I have some of the cards mentioned above. But I am focusing on cashback cards.

Haven't explored reward points-based cards like regalia gold, because that needs different kind of spending plan. We need to keep collecting points, using multiplier sites etc and then redeem for the best value. Somehow I feel points based cards are little difficult for me personally to follow.

Most of my spends are on these cards:

HDFC Swiggy: 10% on Swiggy, 5% on Amazon, Myntra, Ola.
HDFC Tata Neu Infinity: 5% (app) + 5% (card) on 1mg, bigbasket, utilities. 1.5% on UPI scans.
ICICI Amazon Pay: 5% on Amazon spends, 2% on gift cards
ICICI Sapphiro: B1G1 upto Rs 500 on BMS, twice a month
Federal Celesta: App specific offers, B1G1 movie tickets.
Indusind Tiger: Free movie ticket once in 6 months.

@Vinay13 surprising to see HSBC Live+ as LTF. Can you share the agent's number pls? For me whenever I ask them, it is always fully chargeable.

Also some cards are very low rewarding cards. No use of spending high amounts on these - like icici sapphiro, idfc first wealth. (I think AU vetta also)
Instead of these cards, if we spend the same amount on other better cards, returns would be atleast 1% higher.

Sorry bro…i said i ignored the call

I never heard anyone got HSBC Cashback/ Live+ as FYF leave aside LTF. Those people who called are not from HSBC directly, they are some agents or third parties.

I also got a similar call recently stating as HSBC rep with LTF offer for Live+ card though I already hold old cashback card. They don't have any of my details and miselling visa platinum by telling Live+ benefits. I gave a warning not to fool people, later she apologized and disconnected.

On cashback cards I think on the descending order of best cashbacks (straight, without hacks)-

25%Axis Airtel on utility bills (capped though)
10%Neu Infinity, Live+ and Swiggy cards for groceries (some more may be there)
5%5% is the most common, many cards give 5% on many categories - top ones being SBI Cashback, ICICI Amazon Pay, Flipkart Axis, etc.
4%Axis flipkart offers 4% on some categories, Axis Ace offers 4% on some cats
2%Many cards offer 2%, including StanC for some rare cats.
1%many rupay cards offer 1% for UPI scans.

Feel free to add anything that I might have missed.

Today got one more LTF RuPay Credit card from AU.
Benefits:
  • Earn 1% cashback on UPI transactions across Departmental Stores, Dining, Pharmacy, and Grocery & Supermarkets. (Maximum INR 100 per statement cycle)
  • Minimum transaction amount should be greater than or equal to INR 200

I have been trying for AU card but due to address issue it is getting rejected. Deleted the lead ID 3 times. Not trying now.

They have this permanent address, current address and office address concept. My permanent aadhaar address and office address are in 2 states.
Aadhaar address is not serviceable. So dropped the plan.
