Credit cards that offer great rewards, travel, cashback, and low-interest rates are among the best of 2024. For frequent travelers, TechnoFino recommends premium rewards cards, cashback cards for everyday purchases, and balance transfer cards with the lowest fees.

Yes, please add Dining out at restaurants as a category (excluding Swiggy/Zomato online food ordering) but including Swiggy Dineout/Zomato Dining/IndusInd EazyDiner etc. What's the best card for that if one enjoys fine dining at least twice a month?
Get Eazydiner Indusind bank card.
I've saved 11k+ in just 5 months, and this is across fine dining, bars, pubs, restaurants, shacks, and more.
One time, I got a bill of ~880, but with the card, Payeazy discounts, and reward points claimed, I ended up paying just 18 Rs for the food.

Go ahead, it's worth it if you dine often while in a Metro, Tier 1/2 town/

But the restaurants I visit at not there/haven't partnered with EazyDiner. That's the biggest problem. Far more restaurants there on Swiggy Dineout or Zomato Dining

So far your requirement

- must be for self-employed.
- Restaurants not partnered with Easy Diner but can be with Swiggy/Zomato.

Any other conditions? It would be better to simplify the process directly.

Swiggy Dineout = Mostly for HDFC cards (always) upto 15%.
Zomato Dining = It varies from time to time but mostly Federal, DBS present most of the time for 10%.

-----------------

In anycase,

If AMEX accepted then Plat Travel gives around 7% on 4L spends (can be offline or online without any tieups).
Atlas or Regalia Gold might provide upto 10% on 5L spends (can be offline or online without any tieups).
YES Reserv 5x might provide upto 9% on every 200 (online or offline reward rate vary, can be for any restaurants).

Actually compared to when I had asked that question in Jan 2024, I know a little bit better now. I have since then gotten 2 cards for EazyDiner actually - the lower variant IndusInd EazyDiner Platinum (20% up to ₹500) and the Kotak Everyday card which gives 30% up to ₹1000 (higher discount than EazyDiner Signature but limited number of times, although I got 4 of these Kotak cards that covers 16 times a month😲). But lately I am dining out or my friends want to borrow my cards so I may upgrade the EazyDiner Platinum to Signature (although limited restaurants remains an issue). For Swiggy Dineout, have just the HDFC Swiggy card for 10% + Swiggy discount coupons. Any others for Swiggy? (Infinia not possible for me). When the restaurant isn't partnered with ANY of these online platforms, I use IndusInd Titanium Delights DC for 5% (lots of food and dining MCCs covered) or Axis Liberty DC for 5% (weekends only) since HSBC cards I can't get as per policy.

For Zomato dining, are the 10% discounts only on Federal and DBS CCs or on DCs too in case you have observed?

Airmiles cards are not for me since I don't fly that much. These returns you mention on Amex Plat Travel, Axis Atlas, Regalia Gold - the reward points give that much value only if converted to airmiles ?

amzn voucher, least possible return. I never include airmiles in my calculations because value can be known only during redemption till then whatever fixed value that card provides.

Regalia Gold = Gold Catelogue, or Smartbuy booking, or Vouchers

Plat Travel = Amzn Voucher

Atlas = Direct bookings

But still they're all returns on flight bookings only, not direct valueback. Those kinds of cards are not for me. Amex requires a whole lot of spends which are difficult for me to complete. I think I'll open account in HSBC. Then they may consider Live+ after a few years

as mentioned earlier, you have lot of conditions, its better to list them.

So far your requirement

- must be for self-employed.
- Restaurants not partnered with Easy Diner but can be with Swiggy/Zomato.
- not preferred flights/hotels.
- prefer cashback but not a lot of spends (put some number here).

Everyone has their requirements so they can get the best value from the cards that suit them the most. I am into dining but not into air travel (does everyone have to be into both? 😅) so obviously it doesn't make sense to get cards that club both air travel and dining rewards together in 1 card. Self-employed "condition" is not laid down by me - it's not something I can control in my PAN, or change about bank policies. 😄

Anyway it's not your sole responsibility to recommend me cards, nobody is forcing you 😄 If you are so burdened by my "conditions" then I relieve you of that role. As mentioned earlier, I found many good cards I wanted by the end of this year for my post made way back in Jan and shared the ones I got so anyone else with "lot of conditions" 🙄 will benefit from the info.

You're right, everyone has unique needs, and best card depends entirely on how one plans to use it.

I didn't mean to imply that your "conditions" were unreasonable because it's clear that you're following decision based on what aligns with your spending patterns and preferred redemption. My intent was only to better understand your preferences so I could suggest options that match them.

With that, you're absolutely not required to take these suggestions or adjust your preferences. You're doing exactly the right thing by exploring cards that meet your needs. I hope my earlier responses were helpful in any way for someone with similar requirement. 😊

Yes. That is one open point. Some of my go-to restaurants and bars are on eazydiner, plus a few good places I discovered through the app. So kind of made sense to me. It might not work for everyone.

Which card is the best for earning highest value back on insurance payment without any capping or limit?

AMEX Plat Travel - 4L annually (~5%)
Infinia - 6L annually (~3%)

I belive we're talking about "personal" credit cards meant to use for "2 to 3 household persons" and "4L/6L" too much according to me, but anycase these are some options.

And if I refer your earlier post is IndusInd (as you mentioned not in the list) best card for insurance payment? Its 0.5% for pinnacle.

Since you're asking for 'without any capping or limit', whats the rough amount?

Single transaction 5L to 10L.
Indus pioneer metal heritage (visa infinite) gives 0.7% cash uncapped.
APay used to give 1% uncapped before recent devaluation.

Will the reward rate be 5% for Platinum Travel even after considering the card fee?
