Best Debit Card For Credit Card Bill Payment 2024

In the world of personal finance, many people are always looking for ways to manage their money better and get the most out of their spending. One popular strategy that's gaining traction is using debit cards to pay off credit card bills. This allows you to earn cashback on expenses that wouldn't normally earn rewards. In this article, we'll explore this concept and look at some of the best debit card options for paying off credit card bills.

Understanding the Strategy

Typically, credit card bills are paid using money from a bank account, either automatically or by manual transfer. While these payments don't usually earn rewards, some banks offer cashback incentives for using their debit cards to pay bills. By strategically using a debit card for credit card payments, you can earn cashback on expenses that wouldn't otherwise earn rewards.

Choosing the Right Debit Card

When choosing a debit card for paying credit card bills, there are a few things to consider:
  1. Cashback Percentage: Look for a debit card that offers a good cashback percentage on bill payments.
  2. Debit Card Fees: Consider any fees associated with the debit card, such as monthly fees or transaction fees.
  3. Account Requirements: Make sure you meet any requirements to qualify for the debit card you're interested in.

dude my question was whether the points continue if i take millenia. i found the answer that it won't continue. He said to continue to make it till 250 and closing the card is not optimal. i even asked him why he thinks Plat is better. i am telling him it's better to shut and go to millenia with the answers i got.
you cant shut a card, you need to close it.

Thanks for your insights.

If I interpret his answer correctly then i think he said u should not let go this 175. Better use them using freecharge. In the meantime u can order millennia as well. Nothing wrong in his suggestion.
If u pay 7500 in freecharge then u will get a return of about 2.2%. Though millennia offer 2.5% but it has a cap of 16000.

If I was in ur place I should have used that, provided I have a pending bill or a bill available in next 10 days.

Even after placing the upgrading order to millennia u can pay using plat and get the rewards. Both cards will be active together for few days. Both will be getting rewards till they were active.

Thanks now your talking constructively. Instead of criticising.

HDFC plat gives 2.2% on free charge ? Please help with the process or give link so that I’ll know more. Thanks in advance.

That’s why I asked should I keep platinum to make it 250. But if it’s 1% return which it usually is. Then It’s better to get millennia na. Thats why I said millennia gives better. I am also trying to learn things. And I am new here.

Everything in the previous msg itself. Please re-read and calculate.
Hint: 175 + 75 - 90 = 160
160 ÷ 7500 = 2.1*%.

any one using HDFC millennia debit card from past kindly please clarify my doubts

1) Total cb for month even on 1% offline /wallet or 2.5 online is capped to 400 per month
2) a)currently we can load 40000 in wallets like amazon and mobikiwk for 1% to get 400
b) currently canara setu supporting CC bill payments of 2.5% , so by spending 16000 we will get 400 max
3) regarding cashback credit in rewards for any of the above 1% offline /wallet or 2.5 online takes for sure 90 DAYS from the end of the transaction month
( does any type of transaction using millennia dc instan, I mean like 2-4 days like platinum card any such transactions )

4) using millennia dc in smart buy or payzapp gives 5%, does these transactions also take 90days to reflect
how these smartbuy or payzapp cb works , does we get extra than 400 like separate which adds in bank statement or what

please millennia experts clarify me, all these posts making me so much confuse bros

Smarbuy / payzapp (3% now) as promotional cashback are additional.

These transactions also generate cashback for Millennia separately and that is part of 400. It's kind of double cashback the reason u already know. Promotional cashback usually comes before millennia cashback.
