In the world of personal finance, many people are always looking for ways to manage their money better and get the most out of their spending. One popular strategy that's gaining traction is using debit cards to pay off credit card bills. This allows you to earn cashback on expenses that wouldn't normally earn rewards. In this article, we'll explore this concept and look at some of the best debit card options for paying off credit card bills.

Understanding the Strategy

Typically, credit card bills are paid using money from a bank account, either automatically or by manual transfer. While these payments don't usually earn rewards, some banks offer cashback incentives for using their debit cards to pay bills. By strategically using a debit card for credit card payments, you can earn cashback on expenses that wouldn't otherwise earn rewards.

Choosing the Right Debit Card

When choosing a debit card for paying credit card bills, there are a few things to consider:
  1. Cashback Percentage: Look for a debit card that offers a good cashback percentage on bill payments.
  2. Debit Card Fees: Consider any fees associated with the debit card, such as monthly fees or transaction fees.
  3. Account Requirements: Make sure you meet any requirements to qualify for the debit card you're interested in.

Any way to pay credit card bill via Burgundy Debit Card then ?
Burgundy DC got devalued🤣

Burgundy ke liye koi Platform nhi hai .

Sab exclude kar diya hai🤣

Even Unipay would not fetch RPs on Burgundy DC if Working
Also, I did the payment of 5k on 26th May only . Did the change happen in the last 2 days ?
You did not noticed changes in UI of the Payment Gateway ?

Yes, it would be chargeable. Isn't your current debit card chargeable too?

Take the upgrade if you know that you can recoup the difference with the 1% cashback for your bill payments.

⚠️Don't pay IDFC CC bill Payment on SBI UNIPAY using IDFC DC, you won't a single RP.

Two queries, please help.

1. I have an open payment of 1.5 L+ due on my HDFC CC. I have two Easy shop platinum DCs (Mine and Dad's). Can I pay 75k each using two cards and get INR 750x2 cashback?

2. 6 months back, I had tried paying my CC Bill via payzapp using my easy shop platinum DC, but I didn't get any cashback. Can anyone confirm if they've received the CB in recent times?

Thanks

Yes you can.
To pay for HDFC CC, you need to use SBI unipay website and use your HDFC DC there.
For other CC, you can directly use HDFC Billpay in Netbanking or mobile Banking, but remember to add CC 24 hours before the payment.
Wait for 5 working days in order to reflect the payment.

You won't get any CB via any other payment methods apart from the ones listed above.
Payzapp won't give you CB.

Current account holders only.

In case of Current Account, minimum monthly transaction of INR 25000 on POS/Online payment would be required to be eligible for monthly cashback as vouchers on the above categories, with effect from 1 st May 2024.

I paid CC bills to a tune of 40 k on paytm using my millenia debit card.
Can I expect some CB on this transaction/MCC code?
If not, what's the alternative payment gateway for CB

Yesterday around 3 pm I paid axis card bill by hdfc bill pay using millenia dc till now no clue where it got vanished made 2 payments on different card none of them reflects in axis.

Even hdfc confirm successfully paid from bill pay. It usually settled in a minute or 4 hours gap but this time nothing happens.

Kindly please share your experience if someone paid recently.
