In the world of personal finance, many people are always looking for ways to manage their money better and get the most out of their spending. One popular strategy that's gaining traction is using debit cards to pay off credit card bills. This allows you to earn cashback on expenses that wouldn't normally earn rewards. In this article, we'll explore this concept and look at some of the best debit card options for paying off credit card bills.

Understanding the Strategy

Typically, credit card bills are paid using money from a bank account, either automatically or by manual transfer. While these payments don't usually earn rewards, some banks offer cashback incentives for using their debit cards to pay bills. By strategically using a debit card for credit card payments, you can earn cashback on expenses that wouldn't otherwise earn rewards.

Choosing the Right Debit Card

When choosing a debit card for paying credit card bills, there are a few things to consider:
  1. Cashback Percentage: Look for a debit card that offers a good cashback percentage on bill payments.
  2. Debit Card Fees: Consider any fees associated with the debit card, such as monthly fees or transaction fees.
  3. Account Requirements: Make sure you meet any requirements to qualify for the debit card you're interested in.

If this helps anyone, did transaction of 66k, 41k, 24k for paying 3 different credit card bill via sbi unipay using idfc wealth DC on June 1st and amount was credited on June 3rd.

Now waiting for DC rewards, let's see after 14 days.

You used HDFC Platinum DC? You got reward points for using SBI Unipay??
Sorry for confusion got the wording a little wrong paid for Hdfc cc using hdfc debit card received the reward point from debit card but payment not received in credit card still waiting 6 days have passed did a test payment of 200 so dont care enough but showed me that unipay is not trustworthy

I paid HDFC CC bill using HDFC DC on SBI Unipay today & transaction went successfully but not visible in transaction history. What can be done?
Anyone else facing this issue?
My payments on SBI Unipay for HDFC credit card, using HDFC debit card have always been credited in about 3 to 5 days. However, I received reward points earlier but haven't received them for the last 2 payments. So I have stopped using it. Really would like some option for paying HDFC credit cars.

When did you use it last time? I'm afraid thought I'll get rewards

What's with IndusInd, Anyone received points in last 1 week and was there any discrepancy in last month's points?
I made the payment on IIVS on 30th and got the points on 2nd June but less points. 3000 points supposed to credit but credited 23-2400 only ..

In May month also rec'd the less points on IIMC. I don't know why it's happening.

I made a payment in April month with IIMC via Cheq but yet the points have not been credited.

No consistency by IndusInd at all.

I haven't received for even 30th May though MCC was 4900.
