Now that paytm fastag is shutdown, what are good choices for fastag?

The wallet + fastag combined offering from paytm was really good. Is there any other option like that?

You will have to close current fastag and re apply. That is the only way as of now

I ordered ICICI Fastag in March after having to close my PayTM one. Fairly easy process, applied through netbanking as I already have an ICICI account and got the tag in a couple of days. I find the SMS messages aren't as prompt as PayTM was but usually end up getting it within 10-15 minutes after crossing the toll booth.

Take icici or idfc fastag which can be used in HP Pay so you can use for fuel purchases in future. Idfc fastag can be recharged with apay, and I hope it's same for icici too.

Buy Amazon Pay ICICI fastag. You can recharge with Amazon Pay. You get 1% cashback on every usage. You can also recharge with ICICI CC and get regular RP

Get IDFC Fastag.... fuel payment on HP petrol pumps is easy. Just tell attendant that you want to pay via OTP. He will know. On the machine select fastag and then IDFC... enter mobile number and last 4 digits of your car... OTP will come and then payment will go through

ICICI is also an option, but they have disabled fuel payments by default and you have to write to them to get it enabled

Both these fastags can be recharged via Apay balance without any convenience fees from Amazon app

Been using HDFC almost since Fastag was introduced. times when all other gates were queued and fastag lanes were empty 🙂
Never faced any issues with them. No wrong deduct, no multiple deducts
(Precautionary, I recharge before trip, for the amount I need for trip. Mostly the balance is below 50 on other days)

I have never tried, but amazon pay balance can't be used AFAIK.

It supports single account for multiple fastags, so I can share balance b/w cars linked to same a/c

Yes, it's great. I haven't faced a single issue yet, and you can recharge it using your Amazon Pay balance if you do it directly through Amazon instead of the HDFC FASTag portal.

Yes there in amazon application it is allowing to use the amazon pay balance (Wallet & Gift Card) to pay, also now credit card (Like millenia) is also allowed for usage besides routine UPI.

App se ho jayega bhai, waha se karlo. Amazon pay phone par jyada accha chalta hai than website.
