My friend is currently doing online tuition and wants to get a credit card. He doesn't have any income proof or ITR, so I suggested an FD-backed credit card. He can deposit a maximum of ₹5,000 in an FD. Could you please recommend some banks that offer secured credit cards with this limit? Also, any insights on fees, benefits, and ease of approval would be helpful. Thanks!

suprmoney FD card, Onecard & many more
I already mentioned both Super.money and OneCard. He tried installing the OneCard app, but there was no option for an FD-backed card. As for Super.money, we are looking for more options if available, or he can go for the Super.money card. Please remember that the maximum FD amount is ₹5,000.

there is SBM gold credit card also, uni card something also.

You can also look into SBM Kreditpe or Credilio

ZET Magnet is also a very good card, gives 100 rs off on order of 500 on swiggy instamart(20% discount), same with swiggy food order also.. Same for Zomato too

Or if he's looking for a reputed banks card, he can opt for IDFC wow(zero forex) or AU NOMO(though it's minimum 10k FD)

I also see a lot of offerings on the Play Store by SBM Bank. How good are they, and what is the minimum FD amount? Also, who is the banking partner for Uni Card?

One more to consider ...

Stable money is going to launch an FD based card soon. More details will come up after the launch. For now, check out the following,

Thank you, guys, for the recommendations. How safe is it to share data with Kreditpe, Credilio, Uni, Super.money, etc.? Do they call to offer personal loans or other credit cards? Do they check credit reports multiple times? I'm just asking because after recommending a service, I don't want him complaining about getting spam calls and agents calling every day.

All co-branded cards are here to sell the data somehow indirectly. Even if we don't get any calls now, there is no guarantee about the future. Super money has been without any major issues till now.

Kiwi is also preparing a secured card in the near future,
