I really wanted to hold a Citi card since I've heard their customer service is top notch , but guess that wasn't destined to happened. 🙁

Exactly same here.
Except that, when I could hold a Citi card, it wasnt serviceable in my area. When it was serviceable, Citi stopped new applications

About 1 Month back one of my ex colleague got the Citi Bank Rewards card through an agent. He wasn't a previous member of Citi Bank. Don't know if that agent can still provide Citi Bank Card

Now, Citi has stopped taking new applications for new users (not having any account)

My father had horrible time while closing City CC. Even after paying all dues, collection agents kept harassing for years.

Fr? Damn.. i personally don't have any experience with Citibank, but never really heard anyone complaining about it. If the dues were 0 , what were the agents harassing your father for? Unless 10,20 rupees were mistakenly left unpaid which becomes enough reason for the bank to harass their customers..

Nope. No bank can do that. You should have threatened them to inform the police. Like threatened them brutally.

This happened more than 10-12 year back, personal experience. I myself have heard the threatening calls.
It was an era wherein the collections agencies were literally acting like goons and lacked the basis courtesy. This stopped after multiple escalations though.

I have the one score app which shows free CIBIL score. So seems from that they have got my details, and I keep getting calls to accept the card (IVR most likely), which i dont ever pick.

Strange I was using OneScore app for quite some time before I switched to the Official CIBIL App. Though my One Card was pre approved I never got any calls. Seems like they have changed their tactics

SBI Aurum, subtle black and golden accent, but useless unless you're a movie buff
