I recently used my Taj Experiences gift card to stay 2 nights at Taj Agra. Very relaxing trip. I have about 55K points on Amex which I intend to convert to MB for stay in December this year.

Which Rate did you book?
Public Rate or Member Rate?
How do they verify the voucher? do they ask for the email?

I deliberately booked public rate so there's no hassle while checking in/out even though I have heard that they honor the gift card on member rate as well despite the T&Cs of the gift card.

They did ask me to forward the voucher on email but it looked like it was to make redemption easier for the staff and not for verification as such.

half of the Marriot properties are not listed under Club Marriot membership that I try to book or dine to availa Club Marriot Membership Discount of 20%.
So far Marriot Club & Bonvoy game i am yet to understood completely. Can someone point me to article where I understand this. So far I only have Club Marriot and seems pretty useless, Unless I get Bonvoy. But want to understand all the ifs and buts.

How did you get your club Marriott membership?

If you got free membership with some card, then the value is very limited and at a small subset of Marriott properties.

If you got it paid, then most of your value will come from certificates for that property.
