Best way to get fuel while avoiding charges and earning RPs (Magnus)?

I recently procured an ICICI FASTag to use it for fuel payment. However, I was disappointed to find that it did not work at the BPCL and IOCL fuel stations that I visited.

At the BPCL fuel station I tried the using the machine but it did not have an option for FASTag payment.
At the IOCL fuel station, the machine did have an option for FASTag payment, but both my ICICI FASTag and my IDFC FASTag gave an error message (SS Attached).
Thinking of it as a technical glitch I retried the next day but still the same error

I am now in a dilemma. I have a monthly fuel requirement of 50K+ for my domestic needs (vehicle + diesel generator at home), and I fill it once in a month. I do not have an HP fuel station in close vicinity.
I am looking for an alternative way to avoid charges when procuring fuel while also earning RPs on Magnus.

Though not an answer to your question, I would recommend you to get another card. Since you have magnus milestones to achieve then, probably you may need to look at alternate fastags which would actually work at those pumps.

SBI BPCL OCTANE CREDIT CARD is my favourite. Though it will benefit only for 10k of fuel per month. You can also go for multiple cards in other family members names if it suits you.

First enquire from them, if the card will work with them and will they be able to redeem BPCL points.
