Guys I am redacting this post as I have been asked by the bank for non disclosure as mentioned in TnCs else my account would be suspended. They had asked me to remove this as this violates the TnC related to not getting reward points for CC payments.

I called HDFC CC for diners black 14 digit payment issue , they gave me an alternate credit card number which is of 16 digit to make payment .. can someone confirm if you have heard of something like alternate credit card number ?

Paytm points have <1%cashback rate unless want to redeem them for some codes. I used for mint subscription. cashback is for fuel wallet? If so use it as the name suggests.

Go to "redeem points" section. You can buy Paytm gift voucher from there.
It will be added to your wallet. I used that for Sacn&pay. Not sure if it will be available for recharges or not. But it should be useable anywhere on Paytm and paytm merchants as its wallet money only indirectly.
