Beware of Axis LTF scam.

@TechnoFino

A lady claiming to be from an Axis branch called me and convinced me apply for IndianOil rupay variant from netbanking app. Netbanking channel showed that it is paid card with annual/joining fee of 500Rs. But she promised me that it will be processed as LTF from the branch side. even though I had doubts at the back of my head, I believed her since she asked me to enter branch code and employee code by choosing assisted form filling.

Since I already hold myzone from them, the card was instantly approved and a couple days later I received SMS that card is issued with joining and annual fee. Card also got delivered and welcome letter confirms that it is paid card. I contacted email.services@axisbank.com with all above details and as usual they say it is a paid card without even acknowledging the whole scam that I took to their notice.

Then emailed PNO about it and haven't gotten any response apart from their automated reply even after 5 days.

By then agent blocked my contact and I got in touch with her from alternate contact number and she picked. Told her that I wrote to PNO and planning to write to RBI ombudsman, she finally gave in and said that she isn't an employee and connected me to the actual guy who is running this LTF scam racket. Turns out the guy is the actual employee who bears the employee code that I entered in application.

Now the axis employee is begging to settle this without escalating by accepting the annual fee as cash. Told that I am from a different city than him and he says that he will settle from my nearest axis branch. So I believe this is a deep rot and ran by several branches of Axis on gullible people.

I am thinking of dragging this to RBI ombudsman. Have all the call recordings.

Meanwhile stay safe from these scamsters, guys.
Drag them as much as you can this needs to be stopped. Its unfair practice. And in case of axis penalty on fake commitments is way to high on the person who has done all that and your card will also become LTF just be on your Conditions and bank will make it LTF. And punish them

+1

We should expose such fraud / unethical employees.

Also if you have Employee Code etc handy, include in complaint to Axis Bank PNO

Had a similar experience with Standard Chartered credit card. A lady called and said they are offering LTF card. I asked her for mail confirmation she insisted that she cant send a mail before application. I knew that it wont be LTF so I insisted that I wont apply without mail confirmation. After that she said she will pay the Annual fees upfront. I agreed and applied for the card. After the card was approved the lady stopped responding to my msgs. I Received the card and was surprised to see the welcome letter didnt mention any charges. I asked the customer care for charges associated with the card but didn't receive any response.
After that I was charged annual fees in first month statement. I raised a complaint on NCH app. The sales lady tried contacting me. I ignored for a week. Then she sent a message that she would lose her job and pleaded for help. I told her to rectify the mistake by calling all the people whom she mis sold the card and ask for an apology. She called 5 people and told them that she cheated and asked for forgiveness and sent me the call recordings.
Unlike axis the SC card came pre activated. Two of my friends didnt knew that the card was activated and missed payment, resulting in cibil hit. Mis-selling has to stop.

Yup everyone needs to cross check the fee online before applying the cc and never apply untill you are sure of it.

What is NCH application where u filed a complaint sir ?

Axis runs the LTF campaign for NEO card now (from Oct 2023 I am seeing this in their banner). Before this, it was Indian Oil card as LTF.
I think Axis runs campaign for LTF card one each per quarter.

I wish I had seen this before, I too got scammed by these buggers. Whats worst is their customer Service, CNO etc, Doing mistake is one thing and supporting it with blatent lies and pre written replys is not at all acceptable.
