Varun is one dimensional player bro don’t think he will add value with fielding & batting. You need to be Multidimensional player to survive in current situation.

Yeah, that’s valid reason, I guess Shami will come straight forward into the playing 11 if he is fit to play.
Why BCCI is always favoring Pant in t20s and Odi based on test form? He has very poor records in shorter format. In all WCs too, his performance is worst.
Even in last we, his both SF, final scores combined is less than 10runs

One reason I could think is because of his impact or style of play, but we should look for someone who is consistent performer and yes his T20 & ODI record is not that impressive lately.
I can't see any impact with him, he's been doing blind slogging. He scores big whenever there r drop catches. His success in tests is because there r not much fielders outside 30 yards circle

True, he is like you live with the ⚔️ & die by the ⚔️. Let’s see if BCCI could think any other option than Pant, but seems highly unlikely.
He used to have Ganguly support back then when he was BCCI president. But now he's doing sympathy stunts of his accident to stay active in the team

Rohit, Gill, Siraj, Shami as well one dimensional player.
Washy, Jaddu and Axar are batting allrounders.
We need one proper spinner like him who is better than Kuldeep.

Rohit, Gill, Siraj & Shami have relatively more match experience than Varun & they can contribute in the field as well apart from their respective skills.
I can think about him in T20, but in a ODI format your agility & fitness/work ethics should be paramount to achieve success.
