How it is wrong, this card gives 12 burgundy points for each 100 RS spend which can be converted to miles at 5:4 ratio, so default reward rate=4.8%, Flights on travel edge gives 5X-> 4.8*5=24% returns, I am not even considering accor points are valued at 1 point=1.8 rs, So depending on how uses those miles, returns could be even higher, 24% is assumed that even novice can extract this value.
Traveledge fares are inflated. The returns are at max 12-13% considering inflated prices. I have M4B myself and have never been able to use it on Travel Edge due to this. I can't pay more to get more miles

Depends on case to case basis, I always check with original carrier website(AI, Indigo etc) & other OTA website(MMT,Yatra etc) before booking. 80-90% cases-> all 3 offer same fares, 5% cases->travel edge is indeed higher than other 2 options, 5% times->travel edge is lower than other 2 options as well. All this experience from last 2 years of doing approx 80-90 bookings, I do bookings for my corporate travel as well. So considering those very rare situations, Travel edge always comes on top of it even in those cases with these crazy returns, No convenience fees is cherry on top of cake pushing rewards rate further.

What is this 5:4 ratio?

Apart from Burgundy any other good card from Axis for flight booking?

You are right. Just know I checked flight prices for same date same airlines same time travel edge price 7543 MMT price 7184 + 350 fee MMT is still less by Rs 9 😀 original carrier has same price of 7184. 0 convivence fee is a lie. Also for few bank cards you get Rs 862 instant discount on MMT.

It is true only for single person booking. Try booking via traveledge for 3-4 people at once and you will start seeing the difference the tune of more than 10%

That is because they know you will find difficult to calculate fare difference for many people.
so always book one person at a time

What is the eligibility criteria on card to Card basis?

My gripe with Rupay cards is that more and more merchants are switching off cards on UPI,

My Dry Cleaner, office canteen, even local shops have all switched off cards on UPI in last 1-2 months, only my pani puri cart still takes Rupay on UPI😁
And my transactions here are very small, like ₹200 at a time, but still won't work

Maybe there's a forum online like TFC where all these merchants come and tell each other to do this, or maybe there's a youtube video out there, i don't know but it's disheartening

LOL actually .... A few big saloons have disabled UPI credit card payments on their QR codes. I believe that merchants have the features to enable or disable this payment method thru their apps.

Yes they do,
Oddly enough i went to an upscale night club in my town with a friend last weekend,
At the end, waiter first pointed me to the UPI QR code in bill book for payment, and since the music was so loud, i refrained from asking for a POS machine(I also wanted to break in my new Canara Rupay Platinum)
But then it showed merchant has turned off card payments,
Then i stood up and told the waiter as loudly as possible to bring me a card machine, ended up paying with my DCB

This is becoming more and more common recently,
i think there's some disinformation spread amongst merchants,
If they'll take Cards by POS Machine what's the problem with taking Rupay on UPI,
They'd rather pay MDR to Amex and Diners Club then save MDR or part of on Rupay+UPI

Yes, Merchants have been misinformed that RuPay Credit Card UPI incurs MDR charges.

This information is correct, but there are many exclusions.

Amex & Diners Club charge 3%+GST MDR.

In RuPay Credit Card UPI, transactions below ₹2000 for small merchants are MDR-free, and even for big merchants, RuPay Credit Card UPI do not charge 3%+GST MDR.

@Swastik by the way, POS machine also accept UPI QR payment, generate UPI QR on POS machine and scan & pay through RuPay Credit Card UPI (If a merchant has negotiated a lower MDR with the POS company, then the MDR for POS machine-based RuPay CC UPI QR will also be reduced).

And nowadays, some POS machine companies are separately printing and issuing UPI QR bar code so that there's no need to carry the POS machine.
