Booking trip- best options needed

Hello All,

I am planning a trip to Vietnam and Thailand and would like to make use of my card to get best reward points. I have

1. Amex platinum (Not travel)
2. IDFC vistara
3. SBI elite


Please tell me the best way to maximise my points. Where do you book flight tickets from? Is Rewards multiplier good and does the point addup quickly? I have done a transaction 6 months back but still not received MR points.

Reward multiplier would be your best bet. Why not get atlas dcb or infinia though they have very good rewards on travels. For thailand and vietnam you would find best deals usually on Google flights only. 2022 thai Lion Air had exclusive offers for easemytrip

If budget is not a problem for you, you can check the platinum hotel collection by Amex platinum. They have some great resorts, and usually offer either complimentary nights or stay credits. If you have enough points with you already, try looking for some Marriott properties in Vietnam/Thailand that you can book using points. You can leverage your Bonvoy gold elite status that you have with the platinum card and request for complimentary breakfast/room upgrade. They usually entertain such requests for elite customers.

Reward multiplier is a great platform , you can get 5x points from your card. But the bonus points will take about 120 days to get credited. If it does not get credited, you can contact the customer care and they will help you.

Vistara does not have any connection to Vietnam AFAIK, maybe you can use it for some domestic connection if its required from Mumbai/Delhi.
