BPCL SBI card can be used for 10% instant SBI offers during sale time?or BPCL SBI cards are excluded from 10% instant discount category?

Applied online. I read some other posts in the community and came to know that instant discount offers will work but merchant emi probably won't. The SBI customer support people are clueless and saying there's no such provision to convert between rupay and visa. For now, I'll just accept this card and maybe try changing to visa after 6 months.

Afaik Online application if approved will get only visa card mostly.

My spends on fuel is 0. I only took it for merchant offers on Amazon/Flipkart 😅 So far did only 1 transaction to activate the card.

Yes i was thinking it to be octane. Btw its much better card than simplyclick/save with half of spend requirements and better rewards value. I have simplysave and not getting used much. Have to call CC everytime to get my annual fees waive off which they do sometime. If BPCL Octane is widely available in Rupay then i will close it and upgrade on that. Btw if i apply addon card for my family. Will i get twice as much benifits ( 2 x 2500 points per month) with 2nd card being free??
