Axis Magnus Burgundy Magnus 5:4 ratio

1) Please post here when your Magnus card with Burgundy status shows a 5:4 conversion ratio.

2) Also post if you have received a brand new Burgundy Magnus card or have the same old Magnus card.

3) Whether the brand new burgundy Magnus card is lifetime free or old Magnus card is made lifetime free because of your Burgundy 10 lac AQB savings account.

So far I don't think anyone in India is getting it, but its supposed to be starting from 15 to 21 September 2023.

Also kindly let us know how simple and easy it is to convert your existing ordinary savings account in Axis Bank to a Burgundy savings account. Thanks 🙏

There is no guarantee you will get it after this either. I have 30L TRV in both the OGSs and all I'm receiving from the so called 'Premium' experience team are copy pasted responses of no. I registered complaints with both the RBI Ombudsman and consumer court and emailed MD to send some fire up their a**. Now I've been told that my case is being looked at individually.

I suspect that even for 30L FD if it was opened only in the middle of month , they will take it as 15L TRV at the end of the September month and not as 30L TRV for that month , as it wasn't held for the full month ! That is why they are asking for two months OGS to check the exact month in which you qualify for TRV.

I am holding 3 FDs totaling up to 27L since July though, only my account wasn't Burgundy until Mid September. I think in my case the geniuses at Axis are having trouble adding up my FD and savings account balance. Simple addition is not that easy.

Just call Axis premium customer support number now and check if your card has been approved for upgrade. I got mine upgraded now and several others who were getting message like not eligible are also getting the upgraded card when they call the Burgundy customer care number.

Axis took the charges for paid magnus, if I cancel the card is it possible to get refund?

Yes, it is possible to get refund. But there should be 0 transactions after the charge.

Update: They will not consider a Demat transfer worth 1CR for the Burgundy relationship, and only investments through Axis would be considered. So that option won't work. 🙁
They said they may consider a Demat transfer for the Burgundy Private relationship, but they will only consider the value after 1 year of completion in the Demat account.

They suggested me to open an account and maintain a balance of 10L or open a 30L FD in my customer ID as that would be the fastest way. I guess I'm too late now.

Their TRV criteria also list PPF and NPS as eligible investments....

I got a Magnus CC in August and opened a Burgundy a/c in September and in Nov 3rd week, got upgraded to Magnus for Burgundy after submitting 3 OGS.

Q1: When I log into TravelEdge I see this: EDGE Rewards 7558 / MB: 12 and the system does not allow me to redeem Edge RP. Reading many posts here, I understand that to redeem Edge RP, my Magnus RP must be ZERO. This means I need to spend Rs 4800 (12 RP for Rs 200 means to get another 288 RP I need to spend Rs 4800) to get to 300 Magnus points so that i can redeem that and make it zero. Only after that I can redee, Edge RP of 7558.
Am I right?

Q2: I got this yesterday " Accelerated EDGE Points For Magnus VISA Credit Card for Oct 23" and did not understand why I got this. Is this the 3X or 5X for using Magnus card on Rewards Multiplier/GYFTR etc?

As usual Axis Burgundy Customer Care was clueless/ gave vague answers in call.

I had the magnus card previously and then I got the burgandy magnus but the edge reward points that I accumulated before has not gotten transferred to the new "magnus burgandy" points bucket. Is that expected? When I try to transfer to a miles program, I only have the option to transfer from the new "magnus burgandy" bucket and not the old one. I am unable to book from travel edge using the old points as well. Can someone please help?

I have the exact same problem. I have seen many posts that say that we have to make Magnus Burgundy points = 0 and only then we can redeem the Edge RPs. That is what Axis Cust Care told me in call today as well

There are some bugs because of which i have faced this issue.
MB points doesnt have to be 0 to access ER for conversion, they need to be below 300. But try this if this is the first time you are doing after getting new MB.
Once you accumulate enough MB points, say 1k or so (May be you can try 300 too if you have no spend coming up), you can transfer those to Miles Partners.
And then the webpage allows some ER to be available for transfer @ 5:4
Once you transferred them, it allows some more ER to be transferred etc.

I got in a call with Customer Rep, She told me to start spending in magnus burgundy to get Magnus bucket. But people suggest not to use New card until we see 5:4 on old points. Totally confused 😀

As soon as I got Magnus Burgundy, my Edge bucket became 5:4 ratio
Then I redeemed all edge points.

Now you don't need to spend on Magnus Burgundy unless you are spending on Traveledge Gyftr or Grabdeals.

Now you don't need to spend on Magnus Burgundy unless you are spending on Traveledge Gyftr or Grabdeals.

You can still use old Magnus on all these portals too. Accelerated pts are still EDGE points not MB points.
