Business Payments with Pice/BharatNXT

Hi Everyone,

I have a query regarding these two Apps, Pice and BharatNXT. I wanted to know their MCC and Category. I have two Business payments coming up for 1.5L & 2L. I am planning to use 2 Credit Cards and I understand it will incur 1.55% charges, that should not be a problem if I am getting rewards/miles for it.

Thanks

Be careful while using Bharatnxt esp thru Axis or HDFC cards particular for large amounts. Might be asked to showcase proofs for personal usage.

Update: I used PICE for the payments and received points on both transactions. I was charged 1.55% fees. Used Emirates Skywards ICICI Sapphiro and SBI Air India Signature Cards.

I pay GST and file returns for rental payments every month. Hence got HDFC Biz black card. But unfortunately, GST payments using credit cards were not enabled for my state AP yet.

So, was looking for alternatives and ended on Pice app. I pay around 52k every month.

Hence to start with I started with 100 and 200 payments using HDFC Infinia, HDFC Tata Neu Rupay card, SBI Cashback, ICICI amazon pay, IDFC First HPCL Power Plus rupay card and IndusInd Legend credit card.

Got reward point on Tata Neu, IndusInd Legend card. For IDFC FIRST HPCL POWER PLUS card statement is due in couple of days when I'll be able to know if I got a reward point or not.

For all other cards no reward point.

Out of curiosity after I made a payment of 200 + charges using Infinia card, called CC to know the MCC code and I was informed it is 9311 which is tax payment and no reward, but will get considered for yearly spend limits.

Ironically the payment using idfc first rupay card showed MCC code as 5399.Need to see how many reward points I'll get once statement is generated.

So finally I paid gst for 51k+ today using IndusInd legend card. It gives 0.7 reward point for every 100 spent.

The charges for Rupay card are more than for visa and master cards.

Are you sure about reward points using SBI Air India signature card. It's clearly mentioned that no rewards for government payments. Though no rewards, are the government payments considered for mile stone benefits for SBI AI card and annual spend limits for SBI Cashback card for renewal fee waiver (>= 2lakhs).

Thanks in advance.
