Can I apply for Axis Olympus Credit Card ?

Met someone who holds Axis Olympus (migrated Citi Prestige). He suggested I write to Axis Premium Experience, maybe they will relent? So I did, and this was the result.

"At present, the Axis Olympus Credit Card is an exclusive offering and is not available for public sourcing. It was introduced as part of a specific migration program for select Citi customers and is currently not open for new issuance outside that framework."

And in addition,

"However, we value your loyalty and the significant spends on your existing Axis Atlas Credit Card. While we are unable to process a request for the Olympus card at this time, we would be happy to explore other premium options that offer similar benefits and privileges."

By this they probably mean they'll offer the Privilege card lol.

So there seems to be little chance that this card will be ever released to the public. Else they would've by now. So Axis has no premium offerings for the "common" public and it will probably remain so.

Existing Atlas will continue, yes, as of present. I am worried about what replacement card they will give for existing Atlas users when their cards reach the expiry dates printed on them.

The only thing Citi guys got as privilege after transition is the Olympus Credit Card.

My best Decision to take Citi Prestige in June 2023 was a bang on.

Now that Axis Bank has stopped issuing the Atlas card (which gives a similar reward rate as the Olympus card), even if they don't open the Olympus card for general applications, is there a chance that existing Atlas card users will be offered an upgrade to Olympus when their Atlas cards approach their expiry dates? Because if Axis Bank does this, in the end it may be beneficial to Axis Bank itself, as not all Atlas card users will upgrade to the Olympus card when their Atlas cards expire, because the fee of the Olympus card is 4 times that of the Atlas card, and only a few Atlas cards holders will accept Olympus in place of Atlas, and Axis Bank may end up in a win-win situation as it severely reduces its own liability of high-rewarding card holders, at the same time making happy those few people who are willing to upgrade to the Olympus card?

No Upgrade to Olympus. Atlas already shows upgrade option to Horizon in my app. It is clear Axis has positioned Horizon as replacement to Atlas. And I sense it may happen sooner than later that they will close existing Atlas users by offering Horizon.

It's highly unlikely the they will offer Olympus as a replacement for Atlas.
But they will allow renewals for 5900

If they upgrade Atlas to Olympus, even before my Atlas card expires, I will take the Olympus card. But if they replace existing Atlas cards with Horizon even before their Atlas cards approach their printed expiry dates, then I am not very inclined to take the Horizon card. Better than this would be if they allow me to use my Atlas card till it expires, which is a long ahead.

I don't think they will replace Atlas cards before their printed expiry dates. Mine is Oct 2028.

What bothers me is that the complete absence of premium credit cards in India. The most rewarding travel card now available for applying in India is Axis Horizon which gives 2%. India has become like Germany when it comes to the credit card scene. Thanks to the government that is strangling everything else trying to push UPI only.
