The Amazonpay UPI ID is for the wallet, not for the gift card balance.

Worse - a few merchants like CRED or BEST Mumbai (TJSB Gateway) do not even accept Amazon Pay Wallet UPI when you select UPI as the payment option

Then you are in luck if they support wallet payment method and amazon pay option in that. Else you can't use amazon pay balance.
