Canara Angel Account for women (LTF Rupay Platinum Card + Insurance and other perks)

Canara Bank has recently launched a woman specific savings account, *Canara Angel.*

The account consists of features like complimentary Cancer Care insurance and Personal Accident Insurance (PAI). The account also includes LTF Rupay Platinum card features like airport lounge access, Free Health Check Up and exclusive offers from top brands like *Urban Company,* *Amazon,* *Myntra,* *Swiggy* and *BookMyShow.*

Other account features include zero charges for *SMS/NEFT/IMPS/RTGS* transactions, unlimited locker operations, Family Banking service and discounts on locker rent.

This variant is useful for getting free Rupay Platinum Card for spouse, mother etc. with minimum Quarterly Avg Balance. Leaflet enclosed.

Card fee will be nil for card delivered by default. Any other card that you take will have applicable charges. Accounts will be normal account with no minimum balance charges

Went to Canara Bank, Jadavpur Branch Kolkata to convert my wife's existing SB account to Angel account but the person responsible directly told me "Naya account open kar lijiye sir". When I said your website says existing account can be ported without changing account number she said she is not aware of the process and she needs to check. I did not say anything else and left.

same happened with me very recently. tried to change account variant of parents in Union bank, Indian bank, BoB.

1. Union bank guys strung along the process for 2 months claiming not to know the process, I raised complaint on their Online GRS, boom got call from branch done within few days.

2. BoB guys were very efficient, got it done the next working day.

3. Indian bank guys also started repeating the same dialogues as Union bank guys, and I didn't have the patience to go through similar episode, so raised complaint on their Online GRS. Done in the same week.

I suggest you to do the same. Raise a complaint on Canara's online GRS: https://canarites.canarabankdigi.in/CPGRS/# & see magic happen.

I think this largely depends on the branch employees. For me, the account change in union bank was a breeze. While they were clueless about the account I wanted, they were quick to check in their website and process the account change I wanted. I just had to follow them up in a week to ask the status. My account got changed in 8 days and got the new DC within 10 days.

In which branch u submitted.... Your previous branch... Or the new branch where u wanted to transfer...?? Did they asked for kyc documents again... Like aadhaar and pan.... Was aadhaar mandatory..??

1) For Canara Bank, there are two Rupay platinum debit cards, one is International and one is Domestic.
Which one should we choose when we apply?
2) Another thing is that on the Canara ai1 app, there are two options to request for a debit card I) Apply Debit card ii) apply ncmc debit card. Which do we choose?

Branch says first you have to close your existing savings account and then open angel account. Even I called CC they told existing account can be converted. What to do?
