Canara Bank Offline Account Opening for Select Debit Card - Discussion

Branch was fairly new (1-2 year old )

1- asked about account opening was referred to another counter for account opening form
2- person asked about local address ( my permanent is 30kms away)
3 - filled form basic details ( 2 picture+ Sign + basic details) went to 3rd person
He opened via tab
(2 OTP required - one from canara bank
One of aadhar OTP )
4 - applied rupay select dc ( he asked 1100 lagega sir 🤣) he applied while filling application

5- got account number+ downloaded app & asked for account verification code from the employee which they generated & sent on account & viola account is activated+ mobile Banking



Over-all --- account opening was so smooth everything happened in 10 minutes with minimum words exchanged

Mab - 1k
Dc charges - 1180 ukik


Waiting for welcome kit

To clear all doubt

Today in 2nd quarter I have redmeed
1- spa
2- gym
3- cab
4- health ( didn't reddem but its there )

So there is now no question either it's quarterly or not in Canara Bank

I had Select CC but forgot to redeem voucher last quarter (only redeemed prime).

Prakash doesn't have Canara DC AFAIK, but I think he will able to add value. Dude helped me with all Rupay stuff.

Doc, I don't think any website apart from Jana, PNB advertises quarterly benefits. (Seen Canara, Indian, BOI)

No. Bank gets to decide them. Some banks like Yes Reserve CC only offer Golf. BoI CC has some BB and Swiggy One Offer. PNB DC is once per quarter. Canara DC is once per year. SBI Wealth DC also has different offers.

Some "Select" CC have zero benefits. Eg: Kotak Myntra and HDFC Neu Infinity.

Bank can customize benefits from this list.

In DC main difference (as per bank website) is Duration (PNB-Canara) and offer (SBI Wealth).

Atleast 12-18 days .
Just forget it will come one day 😁
After 10 days check in app ( if u can see virtual dc
Expiry would be 06/29
& Set the pin

Just opened an account now in Canara bank for Gold loan purpose. And while opening I asked the guy to choose Rupay select International. And it's done. Will wait for the card. Thank you @Vasuki
