So my SBI cashback card has a due of 33,717. Tried to pay full amount but it only lets me pay 33,205 saying any amount more than this exceeds allowed payment? Anyone else have similar experience? I now have a negative balance of 1516 on the card.
Will this affect my cibil saying I didn't pay full amount due or something?

What's your O/s bal. ? Is it ~ 31623.80?

There might be some CB &/ refund, amounting ~ ₹2093.

Just a guess.

Kindly share more details.

Amount due - 33,717
Only allowed to pay - 33,205
I paid 33,205 and made an additional 512 payment as a second transaction.
Now outstanding amount is -1561.15
(There was a refund and cashback earned both around 1000rs)

You left to reply:
What was the outstanding amount when you were paying and got notified that the total permissible amount is 33205 only?

Well you will not face any issue as cashback/ is treated as payment
Just make sure total cashback and your payment makes your outstanding 0

I was in same boat and to overcome such doubt when first bill was generated, After this I always paid a cb card bill on same/next day of bill generation before the cashback process

In any case if you can't able to pay after bill generation. It is better to spend that minus credit amount within your due date, then pay the bill, sbi do not raise this message, you can easily pay the amount

Last, in any case, Sbi do not rejecting the payment through BBPS for me upto some 5-10% of limit. So if there is minus credit, there is no issue

SBI considers refunds/cashback as payments towards your credit card bill.

Your amount due was ₹33717, and your current outstanding balance is -1,516.15.

This means you overpaid by 1,516.15. You only needed to pay ₹32,155.85 to bring your outstanding balance to 0, which would've paid your full bill.

The good thing about SBI is that you can transfer this excess amount of 1,516.15 back to your saving account using the 'credit balance refund' feature. You can find this inside the app.

This will reset your outstanding balance to 0, and your full credit limit will be available again. Hope this helps.
