Card closure and fee reversal query

I have requested Axis bank for Vistara signature card closure as I don't see much benefit now. I have asked the bank to reverse the annual fee and close the card. I have not used the card post annual fee levy.

The fee has not been reversed yet as the executive told me that it will be subject to approval. Today is the due date. Should I pay fee as I don't want to create issue in my CIBIL or I would have problem on reversal post fee payment?

I think bank may report you as a defaulter!
And after all its axis no one can say when will the approval come so I think you may!

Unless you want a permanent headache in cibil, pay it! even if they dont reimburse the annual charges... You took a debt; does not matter- if you utilise it or not! You are the one responsible to maintain it.

I have paid the fee to avoid cibil issue. As soon as I paid the fee, the card got closed and disappeared from the app.

On refund of annual fee, whether I am eligible to get the refund as I have not used the card or I have to fight with the bank to get the reversal of fee?
