So... You're requested to not ask these unnecessary questions and randomly creating new threads.
The current card is Millenia Credit Card Diner's club variant. Can I call and ask the customer care to block this damaged card and send VISA/Mastercard variant?

This is the first time I am hearing about Diner's club variant. All my other cards are VISA and MasterCard. Is it must to have a Diner's club variant? Or VISA and Mastercard are better?

I only do online transactions with this card, mostly on SmartBuy and Amazon..

Diners Club Variant will provide you with more lounge access... and by taking into consideration of mostly online spends diners club will work fine and if you only want Visa/Mastercard then I request you to please wait for the RBI Card network switch policy to kick in then it will be easier to switch between available card networks and i am also assuming that the competition between card network will increase to retain the customer.

What does the difference this make? If I lost my card but choose damaged, will the bank ask me to show or send the damaged card?
Replacement means you'll get another plastic with the same card number.

Lost/Stolen means you have lost your card and you'll be issued another card number.

For only these platforms, you can keep using Diners. You won't face any issues.

The difference is simple, if you lost the card and then any fraudulent transactions happens then the bank won't charge you.
