Card/Strategy for Delhi Stamp duty + Registry fee

So I have to make a payment of around 1.5-2L on Govt portal I guess.

Builder is suggesting pay via bank transfer.

I am not familiar with the portal and I haven't asked for login credentials from builder yet.

Don't even know the MCC yet, anyone has any idea what it might be, anyone has any experience?

Some help? I have sbi cb, infinia, RBL, simplyclikc, regalia gold, swiggy, icici sapp/rubyx/coral yesbak kiwi and many debit cards too which I don't mind using for this.

Last year I paid 3L+ stamp duty in Ncr and didn't know the mcc obviously so used Idfc Wealth cc as it used to give cb for govt payments also. I got 0.5% meagre cb but something is better than nothing.

Can u check on your idfc statement what is the mcc code and name on the statement? if u can post a screenshot of the same here? idfc is the only bank of all the banks who shows mcc code in every trxn/statement.

Do TRX with online TRX off
Ask mcc to idfc customer care

I also do it sometimes but not always possible bro. I was sitting with advocate and paying for stamp duty after filling all the details in slow govt website. Do you still recommend cancelling the txn just for knowing Mcc ?

For those time
2 kind of card should be considered


1- amex ( as chargeback is easy ) and milestone gets completed irrespective of u get points or not
Or card like idfc Indigo etc which has no excluded category

2- cards like hdfc bizz series which is made for these things
