Cashback related

My situation is different.

I applied for the card from my non-prime account, got it approved and delivered in 3-4 days.
My wife has prime account whereas I still have non-prime account. Will I get 5% cashback for grocery/shopping orders if I use my Amazon Pay ICICI CC from my wife's amazon prime account?
I asked this same question to the customer care and they replied no you will get only default cashback of 1% on transactions done in different Amazon account.
Only the Amazon account with which the card is linked will get the 5/3% cashback

No you wont. Condition is that the card holder must be prime. Best to try for a month and see the statement.
Thanks for the info.

Thanks a lot brother. You saved me. We almost decided buying monthly grocery from her account. Will order from my account, at-least will get 3% cashback.

Customer care isn't relevant. They don't have information most of the time.

What I heard from most of the users are the cashback will be provided on the basis of cardholder's account. Transaction can be done from any account but card holder account should be prime to get 5%. Otherwise you'll get 3%.

Yes, exactly what I have heard / read as well.

Will try this for myself as i have a prime acc and will use in on a non prime account then let's see

Amazonpay card tied to mobile number &/ email address of Amazon account where it approved.

- This account acts as a base and if any cashback provided it will be credited to this Amazon account only.

- They'll verify Prime status of this Amazon account and credit respective cashback 3%/5% to this account only irrespective where you used.

Ex: ABC has Prime membership and obtained APay card on his/her account.

- APay Card now tied to ABC account.
- ABC has Prime Status = 5% for any amazon purchases (So, if statement contains Amazon purchases, each purchase provide 5% cashback), 2% Bill Payments and 1% Others.

All this cashback credited to ABC account automatically after statement generated.

------------

Now, if same card used by XYZ

- It doesn't matter whether XYZ has Prime Status or not.

- APay card tied to ABC and verify whether ABC has Prime status or not.

If yes, 5% else 3% for all amazon purchases (it can be from any account).

2% Billpayments, 1% Others.

Again, cashback credited to ABC account only even card used by XYZ.

---------

Its same like Flipkart process, no matter who used that card cashback credited to card holder statement. Same here, no matter who used the card, cashback credited to 'card name holder amazon account' based on their prime status.

Hope it clarifies..
What happens in Tata Neu card? Will I get the cashback if my friend uses it in his own account? And in whose account Cashback (NeuCoins) will be provided?

This is not correct. I have purchased product from friend's prime account and got 3% cashback (My own account is non prime and it's linked to my CC).

Thanks for detailed explanation and information. I should have prime status in my Amazon account. That's it. Then only I will get 5% else will get 3% from any Amazon account shopping.
