No, you have to either call customer care or mail them & place card closure request.

As far as I know... closure and blocking are different.. Reach out to Customer care for Closure

For debit card you need to hotlist for some banks and for some banks blocking is enough .

For credit card you need to close the credit card by email or by customer care and don't forget to take NOC .

SBI Rupay Platinum debit card & IDFC Digital Credit Card chargeable one for UPIs.
I've Sbi Virtual debit card & IDFC Millennia Credit card.
please suggest what to do for above cards

For closing my Magnus, I called up CC and they negotiated to give few edge miles additionally, said cant make it LTF.
But I was adamant to close it. So they raised a closure request on the call itself and confirmed its closed. I got the official email in 5 days.

Sbi Debit card can be holtlisted from net banking and idfc credit card can be closed by emailing or by customer service or through placing request in the app.

Actually I've blocked my SBI Debit card & now it's in Closed status. Still should i mail for confirmation? or is it fine?
