CIBIL Now Sends OTP to Both Mobile & Email – A Game Changer! 🚀

1/ CIBIL has now introduced OTP authentication via both mobile and email for accessing your credit score and report. 📲📩

2/ Earlier, logging in required only a mobile OTP, which could be an issue if you didn't have your registered number with you.

3/ Now, with email OTP login, you can securely access your CIBIL report from any device, even if you don’t have your mobile with you! 🖥️💻

4/ This is a much-needed move for flexibility and security. No more worrying about SIM network issues when checking your score! ✅

5/ If you’re a regular CIBIL user, this makes things much more convenient. What are your thoughts on this update? Let me know! 👇

This feature is been there for long right?.
I just got to know after confirming with two people. The feature might have been there for long, but in my case, the issue was with my registered email ID. Earlier, my email wasn’t linked to any loan or credit card, so I never received OTPs. But recently, after taking a personal loan and providing my latest email, it got updated in CIBIL records on 31-01-2025. Since then, I’ve been receiving OTPs via email as well because now my reported email ID matches the one used for CIBIL alerts. That’s likely why I wasn’t getting them before.

That’s a great point! 🔥 CIBIL should implement OTP verification before allowing banks & lenders to pull our credit reports. This would prevent unauthorized credit inquiries and improve data security. Hope they consider this next

This will never happen. CIBIL will shutdown before this ever happens and even RBI will never pass a circular in their wildest dreams. The reason being, we ARE not CIBIL's customers, Banks and Lenders are, we are the PRODUCT. CIBIL had to sell us (PRODUCTS) to Banks (Customers). Any policy that helps CIBIL sell more products (us) to banks is welcome. Making it easier and simple to check your score, well the product is improving itself, we are working for CIBIL for free. However making it difficult for their customers to access the products well that's not gonna fly. Why do you think CIBIL welcomed RBI's 15 day reporting rule with open arms, that way they can exploit their customers (Banks) to sell even more Products(us). And their is no way in hell that someone in credit beureau was not lobbying for the reporting rules with RBI.
