Hello Everyone,
If you had used an old Email ID &/or Mobile Number to create your CIBIL account in the past and would like to update it to the latest one, here's a quick guide for you all.
Note: This is the method to change email/mobile in your CIBIL Account, NOT your credit report.
METHOD 1: (Updated: 13-11-2023)
METHOD 2:
Step 1: Goto this link: https://ssp.cibil.com/contact-us/validateSr/cmc3f4
Step 2: Click on "New Application"
Step 3: A new form will open up before you. Fill all the necessary details marked with *
Step 4: In contact details, fill your currently available details on which you're available to be contacted by the bureau if necessary.
Step 5: In "Describe your issue" mention you wish to change your email &/or mobile number, as per your requirement.
Bureau will contact you if necessary and will take 48 working hours to address your issue. You'll be generated an SR to track your query and the same can be tracked on the first link: https://ssp.cibil.com/contact-us/validateSr/cmc3f4
Please Note: By this method, you can update your communication details only. Your username which you use to login to CIBIL will remain the same as your previous one and cannot be modified.
If you want to update &/or correct details in your CIBIL report, you can dispute the same by using your control number. Alternatively, contact the reguated entity (RE) through which such erroneous modification has been made.
I would personally recommend contacting the RE for updating the same on all CICs. If you take the first approach, only the CIC with which you raised the dispute will be correctly modified which will be a not so fruitful result.
