Citi Bank CC migration to Axis Bank

I have a Citi Indian Oil CC and I wanted to know is it beneficial to migrate to the new Axis Bank CCs. I have almost completed its annual fee waiver criteria of 30k and also got 2k as a retention bonus (yes I tried to close the card but they lured me with the bonus). I was holding the card only for the Citi Bank specific offers. Now as I already have Airtel Axis CC so I don't need another Axis Card for Bank Specific offers.

See what they are offering you and then decide. I have a Citibank Rewards LTF, and it is my oldest card active credit card. Hardly use the card anymore but it is linked to a group mediclaim policy, so will keep it till I figure out what's going to happen.

No clear update yet. The info in the tweet is also not official from Citibank. I also don't know what is Axis Bank Premium Indian Oil CC as currently Axis has only one Indian Oil CC that gives 4% on IOCL txns.
I have citi IOCL LTF card; Have 253 points; How to redeem it? Also will I get LTF on Axis?

Note - I already have Axis IOCL LTF

Do you have both citi iocl and axis iocl?

You don't need to worry about points as they will be equally converted to edge rewards which are of equal value. And most probably you will get it LTF if not then you can negotiate with the customer care after the transition is complete.

I have a query regarding my citi rewards credit card... Mail received from axis says that I can enjoy existing spend based fee waiver... My existing condition on citi card is only 35000... While axis rewards card shows 200000 on its product page... So will I get 1000 fee waiver on spending 35000 or 2 lakh.. any idea..

Everyone is assuming by that email that existing spend based waiver will remain same. But if you are in doubt call to customer care and get confirmation on it.

That’s true. The existing condition stays. Please check with Citi as it’s 30K and not 35K.

I am facing a problem in Citi bank to axis migration. I already closed my citi bank suvidha salary account about one year back (long before the migration) and moved to ICICI. But today I got a mail from Axis Bank with the below content:
Does this mean that they have opened a Axis bank account for me? I don't want an Axis Bank account. I don't know why they have created a customer ID for me.
How can I escalate this and get it clarified or closed?

As we move Forward Together in the transition of Citi’s consumer business in India to Axis Bank, we would like to thank you for your continued partnership.
Moving ahead in this journey, we have linked all your Citibank relationships with your existing Axis Bank Customer ID. This Customer ID will give you a consolidated view of all your Citibank and Axis Bank relationships, post the migration and is crucial for registering on Axis Bank Internet Banking and Mobile Banking App, open , if you haven’t done so already. Hence, we encourage you to save the attached PDF for your reference.
You can access your Customer ID in the PDF, by entering your password which is a combination of the first four letters of your name in upper case and your date of birth in DDMM format.
For any further queries and information, please call our phone banking team or reach out to your Relationship Manager.
The migration of your Citibank relationships is set to be completed by 15th July 2024, and we shall keep you informed in case of any change in this regard.

I wrote this mail to them now (pno@axisbnak.com). Let's see.

I had closed my Citi Bank Suvidha Salary account last year (to be precise, 28th Sept 2023).
It has been almost one year since I closed my Citi Bank account completely.

Now, why are you sending this email to me? Why have you created a customer ID for me? I am not your customer.
Does it mean that you have opened a bank account for me?

I don't want to be an Axis Bank customer.
I don't want a savings bank account with Axis Bank. I don't want any relationship with Axis Bank.
Hope I am very clear.

Delete all my records with Axis bank immediately.
Treat this as my first and final communication to Axis Bank.

If you fail to remove my records or send me further emails to continue any service with Axis Bank, I will move to Banking ombudsman and consumer court.

Migration got completed today and new card has been generated. Process was pretty simple.

Still unable to use Citi cashback card online after migration. Instead of OTP page, a page comes stating that contact details are not updated, pl contact nearest branch. Interestingly, the card was merged to existing Axis Cust ID and correct addres is showing. Dont know what "contact details" the axis migration experts want.

My wife's CID was not merged properly from Citi to Axis, and hence I requested a manual migration. However, now they say in case of manual merge the Citi CC limit will not be merged with Axis CC limit! We needed this since the new higher limit would have helped with school fee payment which is semi-annual in Bangalore! I am planning of writing to RBI if they don't relent. Can they exhibit such discriminatory behavior? They had communicated this "Post the migration, you will enjoy a combined credit limit across all your Citi-branded Credit Card(s) and Axis Bank Credit Card(s). Click here to know more." The website clearly mentions that the limit will be added! However I am dealing with the Axi* gangsta here!

This SMS I had received on 30th Aug. I hold a Citi Rewards card and 3 other Axis cards. Right now, all cards have different limits.

This is to update you that we are actively working towards combining the credit limits across your Axis Bank Credit Card(s) and migrated Citi-branded Credit Card(s) since the same could not be completed at the time of migration on 15-07-24, due to certain technical constraints. This is expected to be resolved in the next 30 days and we shall keep you updated in this regard. Meanwhile, you can continue to avail the credit limits as available on the respective credit cards. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience.

Yes, they told me as well. But now on following up, they said the limits will not be merged at all!
